Graham Norton’s The Neighbourhood panned as complaints pour in and viewers switch off
Fans were not impressedThe Neighbourhood, hosted by Graham Norton, launched on ITV last night, sandwiched between I’m A Celebrity’s final.
However, the reaction to it has been less than spectacular, with viewers switching off after just the first episode.

The Neighbourhood launches on ITV
Last night saw the first episode of The Neighbourhood launch on ITV.
The show sees six households move into a neighbourhood together. However, they’re not just there to play happy families.
There is £250,000 on the line for the household that can stay in the game and outsmart their neighbours.
Viewers were introduced to the families during last night’s launch – The Campbell Grahams, the Pescuds, the Lozman-Sturrocks, the Uni Boys, the Scouse Haus, the Kandolas, and the Bradons.
The show didn’t waste any time with the drama, with one household being sent home at the end of the episode.
However, viewers won’t find out who is sent packing – or ‘removed’ as the show puts it – until tonight’s show (Saturday, April 25).

Viewers slam ‘naff’ The Neighbourhood
Unfortunately, viewers didn’t seem too impressed with the show last night.
Taking to Twitter, some branded it “naff”.
“This is awful and I have no clue what’s going on – don’t think I’ll be tuning in after tonight,” one viewer complained.
“I’m certainly sure I won’t be watching this pile of [bleep] anymore,” another said.
“This is a bit naff,” a third wrote, adding a gif of a man switching off the TV.
“Not wasting any more time on this pointless rubbish. I’m out,” another added.

The Neighbourhood panned
Viewers also took issue with the fact that the first episode ended on a cliffhanger, with many arguing that it wasn’t interesting enough to justify one.
“Of course there’s a bloody cliffhanger!” one viewer said.
“Omg dragging it out over two shows,” another wrote. “That was not interesting enough to end on a cliffhanger…,” a third commented.
“Well I honestly can’t be [bleeped] to know who got sent home and won’t be tuning in next time. Absolutely bored stiff. And I bet I wasn’t the only one looking at the clock and thinking when’s it over. An absolute turkey,” another said.
“I somehow don’t think the cliffhanger is going to mean the country clears its diaries to watch #TheNeighbourhood tomorrow,” a fifth joked.
It wasn’t all negative though! Some fans enjoyed! “#theneighbourhood quite enjoyed it,” one said.
“I actually enjoyed that first episode of #TheNeighbourhood. However I do want to see more of the families just hanging out, going to the pub etc. I want drama, I don’t want it to be all about game playing all the way through,” another wrote.
The Neighbourhood continues tonight (Saturday, April 25) from 9pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
