Louis Theroux: Inside the Manosphere includes several interviews with HStikkytokky, a controversial influencer whose famous father is glimpsed, but never named.

HStikkytokky – real name Harrison Sullivan – is one of Theroux’s recurring subjects in the new Netflix documentary. He follows him around in his daily, mostly live-streamed life; working out, chatting up girls, and – occasionally – taunting and mocking Theroux for his viewers.

In the second half of the film, Theroux discusses a link between several ‘manosphere’ influencers. “It was striking how many of them were raised without dads,” he says.

We then learn that Sullivan was raised by his mother, Elaine – and we get a brief glimpse of his dad from one of his videos.

Who is HStikkytokky’s dad?

HStikkytokky’s dad is Victor Ubogu, a former international rugby player.

“HS, the anti-feminist, told me how his mum, Elaine, worked six-day weeks late into the evening to put him into private school,” Theroux says in the doc. “It was clear from photos online how devoted Elaine had always been.”

“His dad, an international rugby player, was not in the picture,” Theroux adds.

In a clip from one of Sullivan’s posts, we see Ubogu sitting at a table in a restaurant. “You weren’t there for years… you didn’t reply for 10 years,” Sullivan tells him.

Speaking to Theroux, Sullivan insists that while he doesn’t agree with “what he did… no hard feelings”.

“If there is any trauma there… it is subconscious. It’s not something that I’m aware of,” he adds.

Victor Ubogu’s rugby career

Ubogu, now 61 years old, was originally born in Lagos, Nigeria. He came to the UK in 1977, growing up in Devon before studying at the University of Birmingham.

This paved the way for his rugby career. He played for Moseley and was later tapped to play for the Oxford University Rugby Football Club.

This led him to join Bath, where he played a part in the team’s 1998 Heineken Cup victory against Brive.

As well as a lauded tenure at Bath, he won his first of 24 caps for the England team in 1992, before retiring at the end of the 1999/2000 season.

What happened between Victor Ubogu and Harrison Sullivan’s mum?

Louis Theroux: Inside the Manosphere doesn’t go into any specifics about why Victor Ubogu wasn’t present in Sullivan’s life growing up.

However, a behind-the-scenes clip from the filming of the doc shows an unseen conversation between Theroux and Sullivan’s mum, Elaine.

“Are you happy to talk about Victor, the dad, a little bit?” he asks. “Well, he’s got nothing to do with Harrison,” she says.

When Theroux asks if Ubogu was around at all, she says: “He was involved… look, I spoke to him for a while, but he didn’t come into Harrison’s life until it was the last year of junior school.”

Theroux then asks if Elaine would mind if they spoke about that further. “Yeah, I do… because it’s got nothing to do with Harrison’s early life,” she tells him.

According to a Daily Mail report, Elaine gave birth to Harrison in 2001 “out of wedlock”. Three years after he was born, Ubogu married Anjela Hurren.

Speaking to The Guardian in 2001, Ubogu was asked what objects he always carries with him. “Keys, wallet, and condom.”

When asked if he believes in monogamy, he replied: “I prefer Cluedo.” He was also asked how often he has sex, and he answered: “As and when I can get it.”

In the final line of the interview, Ubogu was asked: “What is the most important lesson life has taught you?”

“Children deserve to be loved and respected, and it is our responsibility to ensure they reach their potential,” he said.

While the extent of Sullivan and Ubogu’s relationship is unclear, they have appeared together on social media on multiple occasions. For example, Sullivan filmed a workout session with his dad in 2022.

Where is Victor Ubogu now?

After retiring from rugby, Ubogu founded VU Ltd, a “sports hospitality and travel specialist” company, according to his LinkedIn profile.

VU Ltd caters to all sports, whether it’s rugby, cricket, or football. “Over the years VU has perfected the art of delivering the highest level of event hospitality at home and around the globe,” his profile adds.

In 2017, Ubogu and VU Ltd were hit with an injunction after the Rugby Football Union accused the company of operating unofficial ticketed hospitality at Twickenham. They paid damages and ceased offering Twickenham tickets as part of any unofficial packages.

As of 2026, he’s still VU Ltd’s managing director.

In a February 2026 interview with The Rugby Journal, he spoke about trying to stay positive in his later life.

“I’m only human. Of course, there are things that get me down. You can’t spend too much time dwelling on them, otherwise you’re just going to be negative all the time,” he said.

“It’s good to move on… and move onto the things that make you happy. It’s very easy to fall into a spiral of, ‘Everyone hates me, everyone discriminates against me, nobody likes me’… you’ve just got to fight and get out of it.”

Ubogu also shares two children with his wife, Anjela.
