Did you guess?!?

I Will Find You has officially been found and binged by Netflix viewers who were gripped by the plot twists and fell in love all over again with Milo Ventimiglia and his character Hayden.

Of course, they were in for a very rocky road…

Thousands of you watched the eight-part series as soon as it dropped on the streaming service this week (Thursday, June 19, 2026). And it was eight hours of sometimes preposterous, often thrilling, suspense.

Unsurprising it shot to first place in the Top 10 series Netflix chart. And that’s largely down to I Will Find You’s “insane” plot twists, not least Hayden’s true motives.

Please don’t carry on reading if you haven’t watched I Will Find You to its conclusion yet. If you have, you might want to read our ending unpacked here.

I Will Find You fans ‘fooled’ by Hayden’s character

I Will Find You focused largely on two characters, David and Rachel (Sam Worthington and Britt Lower). David was a man wrongly imprisoned for the murder of his own son, while Rachel was the sister-in-law who helped him escape – and find his son who was very much alive.

The Netflix thriller also introduced a tasty “snack” in the shape of Milo Ventimiglia’s Hayden. He was Rachel’s ex-boyfriend, who was very clearly still in love with her. Fans fell hard for the character, and believed he was a supportive role in a romantic side-plot.

How wrong they were. Hayden was, in fact, the evil mastermind behind it all. And when we casually say “it all”, we mean the kidnap of David’s son Matthew, murdering an orphan boy to take his place, killing the Swiss detective Detective Müller, and trying to kill David. Oh and, let’s not forget, he illegally inseminated Rachel with his sperm, and killed his own mother.

‘Wait! Hayden shot his mother?’

Fans couldn’t believe that Hayden was revealed as the arch-villain in I Will Find You. He had largely convinced everyone he was a caring, thinking woman’s ideal man. The charm and good looks helped, too.

One viewer was totally convinced, writing on X: “That was nice of Hayden. It seems like he has romantic feelings. Hopefully he doesn’t rush back just to see you and catches Burroughs #IWillFindYou.”

Another said: “Damn, it’s good to have Milo Ventimiglia back on our screens. Hayden is an uncomplicated character in a sea of people with dubious motives.”

Oh how wrong you were! Anybody familiar with Harlan Coben thrillers should have guessed Hayden was way too good to be true!

When the ending finally revealed Hayden’s true intentions, one viewer shared their shock, writing: “Hayden had my ass fooled [bleep]!”

Another said: “Wait! Hayden shot his mother??????”

A third simply shared: “Damn I didn’t expect that plot twist. It was Hayden. #IWillFindYou.”

“OMG, he’s a sociopath,” said another, “he did all this because he thought it was her child all along. All because she was dumb and used her sisters name #IWillFindYou.”

A third gushed: “The twists in this show are [bleeping] insane! Every [bleeping] episode?”

“I Will Find You on Netflix is SO GOOD. Probably my favourite Harlan Coben series yet,” stated another.
