I’m A Celebrity fans convinced ITV has ruined first elimination as it drops huge spoiler for tonight’s Bushtucker Trial

'Does this mean David isn’t gonna be voted out tonight?!'

I’m A Celebrity South Africa‘s first elimination takes place tonight (April 16), but has ITV just dropped a huge clanger and revealed who leaves?

Last night, Harry Redknapp’s Lions lost the team challenge. This meant that Harry had the unfortunate job of deciding which of his team members to eliminate.

Viewers suspect he’ll spare Sir Mo Farah, Ashley Roberts and Scarlett Moffatt from the axe. Which means it’ll be a toss-up between Seann Walsh and David Haye. And now it looks like ITV has revealed who stays as a teaser from tonight’s Bushtucker Trial has dropped online…

David Haye to survive I’m A Celebrity elimination?

After last night’s cliffhanger ending, I’m A Celebrity South Africa fans were left convinced that they’d worked out who Harry decides to send home.

“I wonder who Harry will go for,” mused one viewer, before reasoning: “He’s a gentleman, so I reckon David or Seann. Not Sir Mo or Scarlett or Ashley. I reckon Seann as David is a sportsman.” Many viewers agreed that it looks like curtains for Seann.

And, after ITV shared a preview of tonight’s Bushtucker Trial, it appears David has been saved from Harry’s camp cull…

First look at tonight’s trial

In a first look at tonight’s trial, camp is reunited. In a sign that the trial comes after the elimination, the stars have changed out of their rival orange and green T-shirts and back into the trademark red ones.

At the start of the clip, David Haye comes into camp and shares details of the upcoming trial. Adam Thomas and Gemma Collins, who were in the rival Rhinos tribe, also appear. David is then seen taking on the Retching Ball trial alongside Craig Charles, who was also a Rhino and not at risk.

‘Someone has to go’

In tonight’s episode, ITV has revealed that Harry will return to camp and inform the team of his decision, suggesting it happens at the start of the episode. And, crucially, ahead of the trial.

He will be seen saying: “It’s a bit like being a football manager, really. I did that every Saturday of my life. It’s just a shame someone has got to go…”

After being held back at the trial, Harry then re-enters the Lions camp. “What did you do with Ant and Dec?” Ashley asks him.

“Unfortunately because we lost, they’ve given me the difficult task of having to choose one of our fantastic campmates here to go home.”

“Now?! Are you serious? Is this a wind-up?” Ashley then asks.

Harry then delivers the bad news, revealing one campmate’s unfortunate fate.

‘So it looks like David hasn’t gone out’

Now, after the trial teaser dropped online, viewers reckon ITV has spoilt the elimination. And they’re annoyed that Harry appears to have saved David Haye from the first I’m A Celebrity South Africa elimination.

“Does this mean David isn’t gonna be voted out tonight?!” asked one. “Clearly shows David is not going anywhere,” another then said. A third also commented: “Looks like he hasn’t gone out.”

Others also shared fears for David’s Lions teammates Scarlett, Ashley and Seann and said: “We can only hope this was before the vote off and whoever leaves might be at the end of the ep and not the start.”
