'ITV should apologise!' The Chase viewers 'switch off' as 'worst team in history' take on Darragh Ennis
Complaints poured in over the 'pointless' episode…
Darragh ‘The Menace’ Ennis took on Bradley Walsh’s team on The Chase last night (February 26), but ITV viewers were less than impressed with the performance of the team, and the behaviour of the Chaser.
Last night, Shaun, Lanre, Simi and Pauline took on Chaser Darragh. Everyone but Simi made it through to the Final Chase, with £8k to play for.
However, disaster struck as they attempted to set a headstart Darragh couldn’t catch… and failed miserably!

The Chase players will be ‘kicking themselves’, Darragh predicts
The trio only managed to answer enough questions to get a 10-step head start.
“Normally when I come back I try and point out the positives, but there aren’t many positives of how you did there,” said Darragh as he settled back into his chair to take on the team.
“Too many passes, you were asked which planet and you said pass. When you watch this back you will be kicking yourselves,” he added.

If they weren’t kicking themselves before Darragh’s Final Chase begun, they definitely were afterwards. He caught them with one minute and six seconds to spare. Host Bradley said: “Crikey, I don’t know what to say really.”
Darragh added: “When there’s three people in the final you can have one person not be on their game. But all three of you, I don’t know if it was nerves or what it was. You just didn’t perform how you could’ve done. I was taking tons of time. I could’ve caught that in 20 seconds less if I was really pushing myself. You didn’t set a high enough target.”

‘ITV should apologise’ for abysmal episode of The Chase
Viewers declared the players were the “worst” they’ve ever seen on the Chase. Others switched off, and some even believed that ITV “should apologise for this egregious waste of 60 minutes”.
One said: “Switching over to catch the end of Pointless! The Chase = pointless!” Another agreed and said: “This entire episode was not worth our [bleep]ing time! And I believe ITV should apologise for this egregious waste of 60 minutes! May tomorrow hopefully not be this [bleep]y!”
A third commented: “One of the worst performances ever by a team on The Chase.” Another agreed and said: “The worst team in history.”

However, others called our Darragh’s behaviour after he won. The Chaser – who beat the team in 54 seconds – was branded “stuck up” and chastised for being “patronising”.
“Darragh the stuck-up [bleep],” said one. “Darragh lecturing them must have really been appreciated by the team,” another commented. A third slammed: “Alright Darragh, you won. Don’t be so patronising though.”
