When does Last One Laughing UK Season 2 start as Prime Video reveals epic shout-off between David Mitchell and Sam Campbell
Fans haven't got long to wait!Last One Laughing UK Season 2 is returning to Prime Video later this month, and it’s set to leave viewers in stitches once again.
The first series won Best Entertainment Programme at the 2026 Broadcast Awards. It also took home the title of Best Entertainment Series at the Edinburgh TV Festival last year.
As it makes its long-awaited comeback, here is everything we know so far about Series 2…

When does Last One Laughing UK Season 2 start, and how many episodes will there be?
The first three episodes of Last One Laughing UK Season 2 will launch on Thursday, March 19. Episodes four and five will then be released the following week on March 26.
The sixth and final episode will air on April 2. The episodes will be exclusive to Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide.
How does the series work?
Hosted by Jimmy Carr, throughout the series, the comedians will throw everything they have at one another in a bid to make their rivals laugh — all while desperately trying to keep a straight face themselves.
But it’s not only their fellow contestants they need to worry about. The show also features surprise comedy cameos, unexpected twists and plenty of tricks designed to test their composure and entertain viewers at home.
The premise is straightforward: if you laugh, you’re eliminated. In the end, someone will be crowned a winner.

Last One Laughing UK Season 2 line-up
Last year, Prime Video confirmed another all-star line-up.
This time, the comics hoping to be crowned winner include David Mitchell, Diane Morgan, Romesh Ranganathan, Amy Gledhill, Maisie Adam, Mel Giedroyc, Alan Carr, Gbemisola Ikumelo and Sam Campbell.
Winner of Series 1 Bob Mortimer is also returning for another slice to defend his crown.
Who won Last One Laughing UK Season 1?
During Season 1, only five comedians were left in the competition during the finale: Bob Mortimer, Harriet Kemsley, Richard Ayoade, Lou Sanders and Rob Beckett. One by one, the numbers dwindled until just two remained in a hilarious head-to-head.
In the end, it came down to Richard and Bob, both doing everything they could to crack each other up. Despite their best efforts, however, neither managed to break the other’s composure.
For the final challenge, Bob and Richard mounted horses as Bob began reading out a string of jokes.
Richard had managed to keep a remarkably straight face throughout the six-episode run, but it all hinged on one final punchline. In the end, Bob’s last joke proved too much, and Richard finally cracked.
As a result, Bob was the winner of Series 1.

First look featuring an epic shout-off between David Mitchell and Sam Campbell
In a first look at the series, viewers received a glimpse of the chaos to come. Highlights include Alan Carr asking the others whether he was “constipated or concentrating”. Meanwhile, Bob Mortimer can be seen performing an impression of a “randy dolphin” for Mel Giedroyc.
Other standout moments feature David Mitchell joking that Maisie Adam “used” him and an epic shout-off between him and Sam Campbell.
Romesh Ranganathan was also confronted with the question: “Nice and easy, would you consider yourself a pervert?”
