MAFS Australia expert Alesandra hits back against Steve’s ‘appalling’ behaviour towards her: ‘His true colours came out!’
Steve came head-to-head with AlessandraMAFS Australia groom Steve Powell had a shocking confrontation with expert, Alessandra, after she called him out for his behaviour towards Rebecca. But now, she has hit back at what the groom said.
The MAFS experts are there to help each of the contestants grow in their relationship. Sadly the show just lost their own legendary Mel Schilling, who passed away at 54. While they don’t shy away from being blunt, they are doing their job.
So, when shocking scenes aired on Wednesday night (March 25) of Steve Powell clashing with Alessandra, everyone was rightfully shocked. Now, she has spoken out about the confrontation, hitting back at his behaviour.
What happened between Steve Powell and MAFS expert Alessandra?
When MAFS expert Alessandra gathered the guys to check how their intimacy night went, she was shocked when Steve admitted his ended in a huge argument.
Steve explained: “We talked it through but then we had a falling out. We didn’t stay in the same room. Rebecca was saying she was here to find love and I called her out on it. I’m sure there are other reasons Rebecca is here.”
Alessandra was appalled, calling Steve out for ruining Rebecca’s ultimate fantasy night. And she confirmed that Rebecca was there for love based on all of her previous conversations.
She commented: “This doesn’t sound like a very good night for Rebecca” to which Steve responded: “It doesn’t sound like a good night for either one of us.”
Alessandra reminded Steve he said he found Rebecca “very attractive” which he tried to take back.

She said: “Your skirting around my questions to try to sound good. I don’t like that.”
Steve then made a very pointed comment: “I don’t have an earpiece in my ear. I’m not waiting for someone to tell me what to say” referencing the piece that the experts wear on the show.
However, Alessandra was not having it. She reminded him: “I’m not waiting on anyone to tell me what to say. The lack of respect you are showing me as someone who is here to help you, is appalling.”
Alessandra speaks out about MAFS Australia’s Steve’s behaviour
Following the shock scenes, Alessandra has since done an interview, explaining that she was shocked. But that it happened exactly as viewers seen.
Speaking to 9Entertainment, Alessandra defended herself for wearing an earpiece. She explained: “We are of course filming a TV show. Cameras are involved and there’s a control room. I need to know when the cameras are ready and when I can go.”
As for the confrontational route Steve chose, Alessandra was “very surprised”.
“When he didn’t give a clear and direct answer, he then came on the attack. I wasn’t expecting that.
“That’s one of the things that will happen on Married At First Sight. You are put in situations where true colours will come out. You are pushed in different ways and that was Steve showing his discomfort.”
Alessandra wasn’t the only one who was shocked by Steve’s comments. His MAFS Australia co-star Scott, was also taken aback by the outburst.
He commented: “A 50-year-old man should know how to speak to a woman. I think he should be apologising to Alessandra.”
