MAFS Australia’s Steve makes shock comment in unseen footage that proves he and Rebecca were doomed from the start
Things seem to be over for the pairMAFS Australia couple Steve Powell and Rebecca Zukowski seemed to be a perfect match when they said ‘I do’. However, things very quickly changed.
While the first few nights together, the oldest couple of the season seemed to get on really well, Steve suddenly appeared to completely change.
After a tense few nights of him wanting some space, and then blaming Rebecca for everything, tonight, it seems things come to an end. But now, unseen footage shows it may have been doomed from the start.

During Intimacy Week, the girls were told they were in charge. And they got to live out their deepest desires with their husbands. Except for Rebecca, as Steve did not want to participate at all.
She showed him an outfit she bought, which he immediately slammed and explained that’s not what he was into. Rebecca has since argued that she felt “cheap” after the conversation.
But Wednesday’s episode (March 25) saw another side to Steve. He went to meet with expert Alessandra, along with the other grooms. And when he was there, he admitted a bigger argument happened off-camera.
He told the boys he accused Rebecca of not being on the show for “genuine reasons”, much to all of their shock. Things then kicked off between him and Alessandra.
But when he returned home, he wasn’t wanting to make things work. And very quickly, he and Rebecca decided it was over between them, ending with him leaving.

Steve Powell MAFS Australia audition tape
Since the show aired on Australian TV, Steve’s full audition tape has come to light. And in that, he said some things that implied his relationship with Rebecca was never actually going to work out.
Steve confessed that he is a very “selfish” person. And that he doesn’t have any interest in changing his ways for anyone. Even if compromising is part of a relationship.
He said in the video: “I’m selfish. I have been selfish in the past. I just seem to do whatever I want to do.
“But I don’t know how easily that is to change. And I don’t think you should have to change at this age.”
Steve explained that at 50 years old, he doesn’t want to spend years of his life “going to therapy trying to change” who he is.
However, this selfishness could be why Rebecca found it so hard for the pair to ever agree on anything.
With the pair finally calling it quits on their relationship, and with Steve’s refusal to change, the future doesn’t look great for them.
