MAFS Australia Scott's desperate attempts at fame revealed as his reality show past is exposed
That's quite a show catalogueMAFS Australia 2026 star Scott McCristal has actually been on quite a lot of reality TV shows. So, if you think you have recognised him, you probably have.
As the new series of the dating show ramps up in the UK, fans have been eager to learn more about the brides and grooms that are taking part.
And it appears 33-year-old businessman, Scott – who marries Gia tonight – has actually tried to have a go at reality dating shows before. But nothing has worked out.

Who is Scott McCristal on MAFS Australia 2026?
The business owner owns three different companies, and based on his MAFS intro, he earns enough cash to be driving some really fancy cars.
However, some fans have even suggested on Reddit that the fancy car wasn’t actually his.
One asked if he was “too good to be true” which prompted the claim. The user penned: “The car is not his. It’s from Luxury Car Rentals on the Gold Coast LOL. It has simply been used to portray a certain image. Scott is a good guy, but he is boring. But a 35 year old with a daughter, this is probably a perfect fit for her life.”
Not only does he run his own businesses, but Scott’s own social media platform has over 26K Instagram followers.
However, those fans might’ve came from his previous TV experiences. Because as it turns out, Scott has been on numerous dating shows in Australia.

It has been exposed that he was previously a contestant on Channel 10’s Blind Date in 2018, Channel 7’s Holey Moley in 2021 and Million Dollar Island in 2023. But all of these shows have now been axed.

Has Scott said anything about his TV show past?
Shockingly, this is Scott’s fourth attempt at finding love on an Australian TV show.
In the past, he admitted his “dream” would be to star in TV shows and movies.
He told Confidential back in 2018 that TV is “the most fun thing to do”.
Now that he’s on his fourth show, some fans found his previous comments, and suspected he could just be a “clout chaser” looking for fame.
But Scott has spoken to Pedestrian.TV about his background, and admitted he found the reaction “funny”.
He told the outlet: “It’s funny. Obviously everyone just talks about what they have seen at the past. That was a long time ago, I did these so-called reality shows. To be honest, they were fun games. It’s not like I was going out dating someone. It’s completely different, so I don’t really care about what anyone says.”
As for why he decided to go on MAFS Australia 2026, Scott admitted he felt it would “force” him to commit to someone.
