Oti Mabuse ‘so excited’ as huge new TV show announced alongside I'm A Celebrity co-star Richard Coles

The pair met during the 2024 series of I’m A Celebrity, and quickly formed a tight-knit friendship. And it appears their jungle chats have inspired them to try their hands at something completely new – a TV show.
But it appears both of the stars are looking forward to their upcoming project, and now, the first bits of information have been released.
Oti Mabuse reveals ‘excitement’ for TV show
Taking to Instagram late last night (March 4), Oti Mabuse shared the post announcing the huge show, and expressed how “excited” she was.
Commenting on the post, the former Strictly star penned: “As if I wasn’t excited enough! So exciting. I can’t wait!”
But what exactly is the show about? Well, now, the first synopsis for what fans can expect has been released. And it sounds so interesting.
The four-part series is titled, South African Odyssey: Oti Mabuse and Rev. Richard Coles. And it all about Oti going home, seeing South Africa through her own eyes as someone much older, and also seeing it through someone else’s eyes.
The Instagram caption described the show. It stated: “Oti will take Richard on a trip around her homeland in a beautiful homecoming journey, supported by South African Tourism.
“Expect a musical, messy, very human road trip, bursting with dance, laughter, colour and deep friendship in this breath-taking travel series. What a journey.”
While it doesn’t have a release date yet, it definitely sounds like something we all can’t wait to watch!
Are fans excited for the show?
Immediately after the show was announced, fans of Richard and Oti, flocked to the comments to share just how excited they are.
Oti’s Strictly pal, pregnant Dianne Buswell, commented a series of emojis to show her own excitement.
One fan penned: “Can’t wait for this new series!”
Another added: “This sounds absolutely fabulous.”
“Immediately sold! I can’t wait!” a third commented.
An excited fan wrote: “Looking forward to getting to see your adventures. Sounds like a fun show,” as another added: “Such an incredible pairing!”
So, while we wait for more details, it’s safe to say this could be a very exciting watch of 2026.
