Pete Wicks: For Dogs' Sake start date confirmed as show returns to U&W with huge overseas twist

Pete Wicks: For Dogs’ Sake is returning for a brand new series that he has tipped as “the best yet” – and now the start date has been confirmed.

Pete first announced the news of the new series on social media alongside a teaser clip.

The former Strictly Come Dancing and TOWIE star was seen arriving back at the Dogs Trust rehoming centre in Essex.

He wasted no time at all in rolling up his sleeves and getting stuck in with the mutts again.

Pete has promised the new run of the U&W show will be packed with “raw emotion and real stories”.

Fans will also be thrilled to hear there is going to be a two-part “overseas” special, too, as Pete is heading abroad!

U&W has now revealed when Pete Wicks: For Dogs’ Sake is back – and it’s very soon!

Pete Wicks announces new series of For Dogs’ Sake

Pete, who is a massive dog lover, revealed on Instagram in May that Pete Wicks: For Dogs’ Sake is returning for series 4.

In a post also shared by the Dogs Trust, he said: “It’s official – we are back! Series 4 of Pete Wicks: For Dogs Sake is underway and I think it’s gonna be the best series yet!”

Pete continued: “I am so blessed to be able to work alongside @dogstrust in the rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming of dogs in need…this is all I’ve ever wanted to do.

“We are travelling across the country bringing you the raw emotion and real stories of life at Dogs Trust, the beautiful dogs and the heroes who help.”

Pete’s accompanying video teaser begins with him saying: “I’m Pete Wicks and by now you should definitely know that I love dogs.”

There’s pregnant pooches and some sadder scenes too – and fans can’t wait.

Writing in the comments, one said: “Bloody love this show and everything @dogstrust does, and of course @p_wicks01’s love for all the dogs.”

Another viewer added: “Can’t wait!! Best person for this! Love of dogs just flows out the telly.” And a third penned: “L;ove, Love, Love! When are we going to see it?”

The Dogs Trust’s official account has also commented, saying: “We cannot wait for you all to see!”

When does Pete Wicks: For Dogs’ Sake start?

U&W has told us that the fourth series of Pete Wicks: For Dogs’ Sake will have eight episodes. Each will last an hour. There is also some really exciting news, as the overseas special is a two-parter.

U&W says: “This new chapter takes viewers even further into the world of rescue with two overseas specials, as Pete works with Dogs Trust partners abroad to find out how rescue and rehabilitation works in other countries.”

We are yet to discover where exactly in the world Pete will be visiting. But we are definitely looking forward to it!

It has, however, been confirmed that Pete Wicks: For Dogs’ Sake starts on Monday September 28, 2026. The first episode will air at 9pm on U&W. It will also be available to stream on U.

The two-part overseas special will follow in early 2027.
