Sam Mitchell's back! What happens next as she returns to Walford, from robbery to cancer fears
An old face returns
Sam Mitchell made her return to EastEnders tonight (Thursday, November 4), arriving on Albert Square to haunt old partner in crime Zoe Slater from afar. Sam’s comeback came as Zoe bonded with Lauren, agreeing to stay at her place after learning about Anthony’s restraining order.
But what brings Sam home to Walford?
This lends credence that she’s the one who’s been stalking Zoe, although next week’s spoilers suggest she might have more on her plate than digging up old grievances.
Here’s what happened in EastEnders tonight – and what happens next.

The family turned on Anthony
As the fallout settled on Anthony’s revelation that Howie’s a thieving blackmailer, the Fox/Truemans demanded answers. Tearing off her stolen ring, Kim ordered Howie out of the house while her family demanded answers from Anthony.
Patrick wanted to know long Anthony had been aware of Howie’s crimes, and why he chose to tell everyone at the engagement party. Kim, meanwhile, couldn’t keep quiet about what she also knew – and spilled the tea on Sophie’s restraining order.
As Denise and Kim headed out for a drink, Yolande ordered Anthony out of the house so she could care for devastated Patrick.

Zoe learned the truth about Anthony
Howie stormed over to see Lauren, who was sharing a cuppa with new bestie Zoe. He accused Lauren of telling Anthony, before telling Zoe all about the good doctor’s restraining order.
Later, In the café, Denzel confronted his dad, and demanded to know how he could have done what he did. Downbeat Howie returned to the Trueman household, where Yolande explained how badly he’d let Patrick down.
Elsewhere, Anthony caught up with Patrick where they discussed the days events. Anthony swore that Sophie had lied about the behaviour which had led to his restraining order – a claim which Patrick seemed to buy, for now at least.
Meanwhile, Howie returned to see Kim, and begged for a second chance. Realising that he hadn’t changed since they first met, all those years ago, she ended the relationship.
Is this the end for Howie and Kim?

Sam Mitchell returned to EastEnders
Leaving The Vic with Zoe, Lauren offered her a place to stay for the night. Zoe accepted, unaware that they were being watched from across the Square.
But by whom? None other than Sam Mitchell, who emerged from the shadows where she’d been lurking ominously.

What happens next as Sam Mitchell returns to EastEnders
Sam wastes little time in stirring up trouble in EastEnders spoilers for next week – sneaking into brother Phil’s place to steal his cash. She finds Nigel there, but he lets her take the money after mistaking her for Clare.
As she leaves, she’s spotted by Zoe – who accuses her of being her tormentor. Meanwhile, Phil is on the warpath, assuming from Nigel’s description that it was Nicola who stole his cash.
However, she soon realises it was Sam when he spots her talking with Kat outside The Vic. Sam manages to give her brother the slip, arranging to meet with Ricky Jr. at McClunky’s.
Learning that Sam is back, Jack intercepts, and demands to know what she wants. Sam’s forced to divulge a shocking secret about her health. Jack is blindsided, and not happy when he discovers that she’s not seen a doctor yet.
Can Jack and the family convince Sam to get help?
Traitors' Stephen just made a huge mistake ahead of final that could drastically change who wins but did you spot it?
Stephen is now just one day away from the finale episode but viewers are worried he has really messed up.
The apparent mix up comes after he and fellow Traitor, Rachel Duffy, met in the Turret last night.

Stephen and Rachel were seen plotting who to murder next and also how to play out the final stage of the game.
Suspicion is mounting on both of them, so Rachel told him what she thinks they need to do next.
But viewers are worried Stephen completely "misunderstood" what she was saying.
The Traitors: Stephen makes 'mistake' ahead of final
Stephen and Rachel were seen discussing their next moves in the Turret at the end of Wednesday night's episode.
Rachel stressed to Stephen that they have to be seen mentioning each other's names to the rest of the players at this final stage.
If they avoided talking about each other, suspicion would arise.
The chat came after Stephen had asked her: "I just need to know now that we're going to make it to the end."
Leaning forward, Rachel assured him: "I've made one promise since I've got here. And I've told you I'm not breaking it."
Stephen breathed out in relief and said: "Okay."
Rachel went on: "Please remember, nobody can stick up for one another at this point. And if you hear anybody repeat that I'm talking about you, it's because I have to, to protect our alliance."

But it seems Stephen took Rachel's game play to mean he can no longer trust her.
Speaking in the diary room, he said to the camera: "Right now, I'm worried. Maybe I've been blind because I have been actively not discussing Rachel if anyone ever brought her up.
"She might not necessarily write my name on her slate, but that doesn't stop her sowing seeds of doubt against me."
He then warned: "If I did find out that she was going against me behind my back, then... game on."
Fans react to Stephen 'misunderstanding' Rachel
Traitors viewers completely understood what Rachel was saying to Stephen. But they are convinced he didn't.
And this could have huge consequences.
If Stephen now thinks he cannot trust her, it could completely change the course of who wins the show.
Following the episode, an unofficial Traitors fan account wrote on X: "Rachel basically just told Stephen that she’s no longer blindly supporting him…. That could’ve been a big mistake."
But viewers were quick to hit back.
One person quickly replied: "She didn't say that at all did she! He misunderstood it!"
Another added: "I think the way she said it may have been misinterpreted."
A third agreed: "Yeah I think he may have interpreted that weirdly. Realistically, if she never even mentions his name that makes both of them look suspicious, though the Faithfuls wouldn't be able to add two and two together."
And someone else added: "She said he has to understand that she’ll have to talk about him in the castle and not to read anything into it. It would be weird if she spoke about the other 5 and not Stephen."
Facepalm, Stephen!

Who do Rachel and Stephen murder next?
Rachel and Stephen have narrowed tonight's murder down to two players. They have decided to kill either Faraaz Noor or Roxy Wilson.
They arrived at their decision after Faraaz made it clear he thinks Rachel is a Traitor. The Traitors also feel that murdering Roxy would link back to James Baker, rather than them.
But the pair are seriously worried about making the wrong choice.
Before writing their victim's name down, Stephen said to Rachel: "Every decision we make now is going to decide whether or not we make it to that end game."
Agreeing, she replied: "If we make the wrong one at this stage in the game, it could cost either of us our place."
We cannot bear the suspense!
