Coronation Street will take a darker turn next week as Sarah Platt’s prison ‘friend’ is anything but that. Instead, a whole new world of fear and dread is starting.

Sarah has been locked away for a while, after it was revealed she was the one who murdered Theo. Things haven’t been going very well for her. She broke up with Kit, not wanting him dragged into her mess.

But tonight (Friday 14 August) Sarah heard that Harry was having a hard time, and confided in a fellow prisoner about her worries. And while she seemed friendly, that prisoner is going to cause some trouble for her.

Sarah made a ‘friend’ in prison

When a fellow prisoner noticed Sarah sitting alone in her cell, after overhearing her phone call with Harry, she wanted to check that she was okay.

Sarah explained that another woman had threatened her, and so she wasn’t wanting to go to the canteen again so she hasn’t been eating.

However, as the chat continued the pair began to seemingly bond over their kids. But the woman reminded Sarah that everyone knows Kit is a cop, and that he probably was the reason a lot of people got sent down.

But she promised Sarah that they “have to stick together” and she will be there for her. However, when Bethany later visited, she noticed the woman staring. And Sarah was quick to explain they are friends.

Coronation Street spoilers confirm things will take a turn

However, things don’t continue going smoothly for Sarah as Coronation Street spoilers confirm danger ahead.

Next week, Sarah gets a visit from Kacey, who explains her son has been arrested for armed robbery. And she has a favour to ask.

She begs Sarah to talk to Kit, but she doesn’t seem convinced there’s anything she could do. Refusing to accept this, Kacey warns her that she has no other option.

Scared, Sarah calls Todd to explain what happened, and he later urges Kit to go see Sarah – which he does.

Kit is shocked at Sarah’s request and refuses to help her. But as all of this is going on, Harry is lashing out more at home, leaving Sarah feeling useless on all ends.

But Kacey refuses to let Sarah off with it, and warns her she will pay the price if anything happens to her son.
