Strictly Come Dancing 2025 will be one couple short in Blackpool this weekend – but here are all the songs and dances you can expect from the contestants who are going.

La Voix has been forced to pull out of Strictly for one week after suffering a nasty injury to her foot, meaning she’s stuck at home. So sad!

With just one day to go, here’s everything we know about Strictly Come Dancing’s Blackpool week, including who is left in the competition, what dances they are doing and where they currently sit in the leaderboard.

Strictly Come Dancing: Current leaderboard

Week 8 ended with a brand new leaderboard – and one celebrity going from top to bottom. Vicky Pattison had ended Week 7 on a high with her partner, Kai Widdrington. They had topped the leaderboard with their Tango and a score of 39.

But on Saturday, it was a completely different story. The pair finished joint bottom with Balvinder Sopal and Julian Caillon. Both couples scored 27 for their dances, with Vicky doing a Jive and Bal performing an American Smooth.

They also both ended up in the dance-off following the pubic vote. The judges unanimously voted to save Balvinder, sending Vicky home.

Amber Davies and Nikita Kuzmin topped the leaderboard last Saturday. They scored 38 for their Paso Doble. Following close behind in second place was Lewis Cope and Katya Jones. They received 37 point for their Tango.

Third place went to Alex Kingston and Johannes Radebe. They danced a Waltz and the judges gave them 35 marks. La Voix and Aljaz Škorjanec finished the night in fourth place with a score of 33. They had done a Couple’s Choice.

Karen Carney and Carlos Gu were fifth. They did an American Smooth and got 31 marks. Second from the bottom was George Clarke and his partner, Alexis Warr. They performed a Rumba and the judges gave them 29.

La Voix pulls out of Blackpool

Vicky and Kai missed out on Blackpool by one week, but La Voix and Aljaz also won’t be there. She will not be performing in Saturday night’s live show due to a painful injury.

La Voix has suffered a deep bone bruise in her foot. The star – real name Chris Dennis – is currently hobbling round in a moon boot, poor thing!

Chris told Instagram fans on Thursday that he was off for another MRI scan to assess the extent of the damage. La Voix has been given a ‘bye’ for Strictly this week. Let’s hope it’s not a bye for good.

Strictly Come Dancing Blackpool: Songs and dances

All the songs and dances for Strictly Come Dancing’s Blackpool show have now been revealed. Amber and Nikita are doing a Quickstep in the iconic Tower Ballroom. The song picked for them is a 90s, bouncy one; S Club 7’s Reach.

Lewis and Katya will be performing a Charleston in Blackpool. Their song is I Bet You Look Good on the Dancefloor. This was made famous by the Arctic Monkeys in 2006.

It’s Karen and Carlos’ turn to be fierce on Saturday with a Paso Doble. Their song is the very dramatic orchestral piece, Carmina Burana – Nr 1-2 Fortuna Imperatrix.

George and Alexis are hoping to impress the judges with a Salsa. Their song is Rock This Party (Everybody Dance Now) by Bob Sinclair. Balvinder and Julian are doing an Argentine Tango to The Logical Song by Supertramp.

Alex and Johannes are doing a Couple’s Choice for their dance. Their song is a mash-up of History Repeating Itself by Propellerheads ft Miss Shirley Bassey and Look At Me by Geri Halliwell. Sounds interesting!

La Voix and Aljaz were supposed to be doing a Samba for their dance. The song picked for them was Love is in the Air by John Paul Young.
