The West End star, who found fame on Love Island, began crying after it was revealed she is through to Week 8 of the competition.
Amber has now opened up about her emotions and admitted she is an “empath”. She also claims to suffer from “imposter syndrome”, which sees people doubt their ability to do something they are capable of doing.
Taking to Instagram following Sunday night’s show, which saw Ellie Goldstein and Vito Coppola eliminated, and shared some photos of her Halloween Week dance.

Amber, 29, admitted: “I really didn’t know how tough Strictly was going to be, especially emotionally. If you’re an empath like me you know we feel everything at a 100% capacity.

“I’m really pushing myself to all my limits every week to prove to myself I am capable but mostly to make Nikita proud, the work he puts into each week is on another level.
“Of course imposter syndrome and self doubt can really take over at times but we are halfway through this incredible competition now and I’m going to try and quit those horrible noises in my mind and just go for it!”

“I’m in awe of every single couple on this show and I feel unbelievably grateful to be experiencing another week on the best tv show on television!!!! Again thank you, a new week, new moves, hopefully less nerves & and more blisters, let’s go!!”
Where are Amber and Nikita on the Strictly leaderboard?

Amber Davies: Professional dancing backlash
Amber was drafted into this year’s Strictly Come Dancing at the last minute. She replaced Dani Dyer, who pulled out after breaking her ankle.
But Amber has faced a backlash during her time on the show for her previous dance training and current career.
The star is a leading lady in London’s West End. In 2019, Amber played Judy Bernly (the Jane Fonda role) in 9 to 5: The Musical in 2019.
Amber was later cast in Bring It On: The Musical and 2022 saw her star in Back to the Future: The Musical. She also thrived while treading the boards as Vivian (Julia Roberts’ leading movie role) in the musical production of Pretty Woman.
Next year, Amber hits the road with the UK tour of Legally Blonde. She has been cast as lead character, Elle Woods.
Some fans are annoyed by Amber’s dance background and do not think it is fair that she is in the competition. Last week, Amber was in the dance-off with Jimmy Floyd Haasselbaink following the public vote. This was despite her finishing the night in second place on the leaderboard.
The judges voted to send retired footballer Jimmy and his pro partner, Lauren Oakley, home. Amber admitted she cried when watching back the dance-off.
