Strictly Come Dancing stars Stefan Dennis and Dianne Buswell have been dealt a major blow ahead of Icons Week.

The Neighbours star and his pregnant professional dancer may not have much longer left in the competition, according to the bookmakers.

Third celebrity leaves Strictly

Yesterday (Sunday, October 19) saw the third celebrity of the series leave the show.

Chris Robshaw and Balvinder Sopal were in the bottom two. After performing their routines again, it was down to the judges to decide who to save.

Shirley Ballas and Anton Du Beke decided to save Chris, but Motsi Mabuse and Craig Revel Horwood chose to save Balvinder, sending Chris home.

Viewers were furious that Balvinder had found herself in the bottom two for the second week running.

“I don’t understand why Balvinder isn’t getting the support. She is incredible and her Paso was brilliant,” one viewer tweeted.

“Bal was SENSATIONAL tonight. How the fudge is she in the bottom two, AGAIN?! especially over La Voix who was scored a 2! Absolutely ridiculous. I’m so glad Bal is through, but she shouldn’t have been in the dance-off,” another said.

Dianne Buswell and Stefan Dennis next to be eliminated

Now, bookmakers SportsCasting have named the duo as the least likely to lift the Glitterball trophy in December.

The duo is at 200/1 to win the trophy. Balvinder, who was in the bottom two last night, is their nearest rival at 100/1.

The bookies also have Stefan at 10/11 to be eliminated next, making him the favourite to head home next.

“Stefan Dennis is now the 10/11 favourite to be the next celebrity eliminated. He’s managed to avoid the bottom two so far, possibly helped by the popularity of his partner Dianne Buswell. But with some of the weaker dancers now gone, he could find himself more exposed if the performances don’t improve,” Shane Orton, spokesperson for SportsCasting told Entertainment Daily.

“Balvinder Sopal follows at 5/2, after landing in the dance-off for a second consecutive week despite a relatively strong performance. Her treatment in the public vote has been baffling, especially given the progress she’s shown. La Voix is next at 6/1 after posting the lowest Week 4 score in Strictly history. She’ll be hoping that was just a one-off, as another slip-up could see her in real danger.”

Stefan Dennis issues health update

After missing last weekend’s competition through illness, Stefan returned this week.

During an appearance on It Takes Two on Friday (October 17), Stefan opened up about why he was forced to pull out of the show.

“I had a little bit of a turn. I had a little bit of an episode with vertigo, but it was all okay. I made myself right again with the help of some good people at the hospital, but it’s all okay,” he said.

Symptoms of vertigo include a spinning sensation, loss of balance, nausea, and vomiting. According to the NHS, it is more than just feeling dizzy.

“I’ve just got to say to everyone out there, thank you for all your lovely well wishes. And just for wanting me to be on the recovery and get back on the dance floor. Which I now am!” he then added.
