Strictly spoiler leaks online ahead of results show as fans ‘gutted’ over first elimination
One couple has been sent home...Strictly Come Dancing’s first contestant to leave the 2025 series has been revealed after a spoiler dropped late last night (October 5).
The glitzy BBC One show returned to screens on Saturday for its second live show. The likes of Amber Davies, Thomas Skinner, Karen Carney and Ellie Goldstein took the dance floor to show off their best moves.
However, the results of the first-ever elimination of the series have now been revealed – and some fans are not best pleased…

On Strictly Come Dancing on Saturday night (October 5), all the couples put on some incredible performances. And sitting pretty at the top of the leaderboard was Love Island star Amber Davies and pro partner Nikita Kuzmin.
The pair bagged 29 points after performing a samba to Bam Bam by Camila Cabello.
In second place was Lewis Cope, who was awarded 27 points for his Viennese Waltz with Katya Jones.
At the other end of the scale, TV presenter Ross King and pro partner Jowita Przystal were at the bottom. They got a score of 15 for their waltz to Sunshine On Leith by The Proclaimers.
But who ended up in the dance off? And who was eliminated? While we will not be sharing the result, a lot of Strictly viewers have seen who went on X, and the verdict has divided them.

Fans reaction to first Strictly celeb elimination
Sharing their thoughts online, it’s fair to say plenty of Strictly Come Dancing fans were left divided by the elimination result.
“Such a shame, gutted for [blank],” mused one person on X. Another added: “Anyone else gutted for [blank]?”
A third also chimed in: “Feel desperately sorry for the pro in this partnership.”
A fourth penned: “Can’t lie I’m surprised that the person who left went home straight away as I thought they would’ve been more popular.”
‘The correct result’
Nonetheless, other people declared that the right celeb has left the competition. Someone else wrote: “Absolutely the right person to have gone.”
A also second agreed: “The correct result not going to lie I am happy.” Echoing their thoughts, a third declared: “Absolutely the right result!!” Another wrote: “YESSS!! For once the British public made the right choice. Heartbroken for [blank].”
