Britain’s Got Talent star Ted Hill won over the judges, Ant and Dec and the audience with his PowerPoint presentation but fans have accused the judges of ‘fake laughing’ too much.

Ted Hill is going straight through to the live shows thanks to Britain’s Got Talent hosts Ant and Dec using their Golden Buzzer opportunity after loving his routine.

However, fans at home were not that impressed, and accused Amanda Holden of laughing too loudly.

Ted, who has autism, teased earlier in the show that he was going to do something ‘never before seen’ on the favourite competition series.

Before we got to see what that was, we were teased with Mizuki Shinagawa taking aerial ribbon dancing to new heights (pardon the pun) and Key Voices impressing the judging panel. Both acts went through to the next round.

Simon Cowell was left solo cheering on Arubai, a Japanese group who perform different instruments with their mouths. Not quite A capella level, but the screeching sounds appeared to make Simon laugh!

Ted Hill’s phonetic alphabet game wins over fans on Britain’s Got Talent

When Ted arrived on stage, all we saw was a laptop and a large screen behind him, and we found out his whole act was presentation.

Ted, who gives fun talks in schools around science, used the opportunity to win over the various judges while on stage.

First, he took aim at the top judge, Simon Cowell, teasing he was the ‘third’ favourite Simon he’s ever met, before joking with KSI.

Amanda, along with the audience, were chuckling throughout the entire performance.

Ted Hill then told the Britain’s Got Talent audience that we should change the phonetic alphabet so we could confuse people on the other end of the phone. From using ‘aye’ for A and heebies jeebies for H, each letter became more ridiculous than the last.

Ant and Dec choose their Golden Buzzer

Ant and Dec, watching from the sidelines, were also applauding and laughing, to the point that they thought Ted should definitely have a spot in the live shows. After the judges praised the 31-year-old, the hosting duo snuck down to the panel to reveal they were using their Golden Buzzer opportunity on Ted.

“Amanda’s laugh,” one Twitter user cried.

“The fake laughing on Britain’s Got Talent is incredibly irritating,” a second suggested.

While a third thought Amanda was “false laughing” throughout the act.

But not all agreed, considering the theatre audience was chuckling through the presentation, it’s clear that they feel the same as the judges!

“I loved that audition,” said another. “He’s really funny.”

Fans upset over Golden Buzzer choice

The fact the Golden buzzer was revealed just 30 minutes into the two hour and 15 minute show may have been the problem.

“Gold Buzzer for that! Well I guess it’s safe to turn the TV off now as if that’s the high it’s only gonna get worse,” one fan claimed.

However, positive comments cheered on Ted for getting on stage.

“The whole fact he was even on that stage was commendable,” praised one fan.

A second wrote: “Ted had Ant & Dec laughing with his comedy routine to the point that they ran to the desk to press their golden buzzer to send him straight to the semi-finals.”
