Tell Me Lies fans divided by season 3 episode 4's ‘ridiculous’ Wrigley twist: ‘I don’t want to believe it’
Wrigley may have just gotten himself into trouble in Tell Me Lies
Tell Me Lies season 3 episode 4 is pivotal for Wrigley, with a big reveal that reframes everything we’ve seen in the 2015 timeline so far.
Towards the end of season 2, Bree kept receiving calls from an unknown, mysterious number. In one scene, she told them, “Please, just leave me alone. I want to feel like a good person again.”
So, who was on the other end of the phone? Showrunner Meaghan Oppenheimer already confirmed it wasn’t Stephen, nor was it Oliver.
Now, we know who was ringing her, and it has big implications for the rest of Tell Me Lies.
***Warning: spoilers for Tell Me Lies season 3 episode 4 ahead***

What happened with Wrigley in Tell Me Lies season 3 episode 4?
In episode 4, Bree’s mystery caller is finally revealed… and it’s Wrigley.
Near the end of the episode, Stephen catches Wrigley and Bree glancing at each other on the dance floor. He takes a sneak peek at Wrigley’s phone, and he discovers all of his recent calls and FaceTimes with Bree.
Remember back in season 1 when Wrigley picked up Bree and said, “I’m stealing your wife!” Well, it appears to have been foreshadowing that most of us missed.
So, what will happen next? According to Jackson White, who plays Stephen, he’ll “weaponise it” against Wrigley.
“He’s gonna hold on to it. He keeps secrets. He feeds off secrets, and he’s going to unleash it in a bloody manner,” he teased to Swooon.

Could Tell Me Lies be setting up an even bigger Wrigley twist?
Viewers have been left gobsmacked – but some are also struggling to believe it. For example, one fan on Reddit questioned how he could be “this stupid”.
“Leaving the phone unattended AND without a password AND in front of Stephen? Please let this be some kind of an elaborate plan, I don’t want to believe it,” they added.

This is the main theory to emerge from the episode. What if Wrigley lured Stephen to his phone, and this would somehow allow him and Bree to expose Stephen?”
“The way he blatantly left his phone… made me almost wonder if he did that on purpose because he KNOWS Stephen and for the first time Wrigley will actually manipulate Stephen,” another speculated.
Then again, this may just be wishful thinking. Another fan slammed the “ridiculous” twist, writing: “They’re all horrible friends, cant be trusted, and have absolutely the worst judgement.”
“Stephen and his damn smirk after looking at Wrigley’s phone. I screamed! Ugh,” another wrote.
