The Graham Norton Show tonight: Who is on the famous sofa and what time it starts tonight on BBC One

Graham has a superb line-up this evening

The Graham Norton Show is back on tonight featuring a string of A-list guests including, not one, but two Bond girls.

Host Graham Norton will be chatting to Hollywood stars, plus a hugely popular British comedian and a music megastar.

There’s a couple of stories about Tom Cruise dishing out advice. And one about how a jewellery awards event in Monaco went terribly wrong!

Here’s what we know about tonight’s episode of The Graham Norton Show, including its amazing line-up and what time it starts.

As mentioned, Graham is joined by two actresses who starred in James Bond films. They are Rosamund Pike, who played Miranda Frost in Die Another Day. And Michelle Yeoh, who starred as Wai Lin in Tomorrow Never Dies.

Sharing stories with Michelle about being Bond girls, Rosamund tells Graham: “I was very young and had never seen a Bond film when I went for the role. I was asked to bring an evening gown to the audition, so I borrowed a huge red 1980’s ball gown of my mother’s.

“[James Bond boss] Barbara Broccoli took one look at it and produced a dress that looked to me like five bits of string. I realised I had an education ahead!”

Rosamund also reveals that Tom Cruise, her co-star in Jack Reacher, wrote her a kind letter. She got nervous about starring in Gone Girl and Tom told her she was ready. Rosamund also talks about her new movie, Now You See Me: Now You Don’t.

Meanwhile, Michelle speaks about playing Madame Morrible in Wicked: For Good. She promises audiences a “stunning and a great cinematic experience”.

Glen Powell joins Graham Norton

Hollywood action hero Glen Powell chats to Graham about his new film The Running Man. Glen talks about how he did his own stunts. “I had to abseil down eight storeys of a building in freezing conditions half naked and wearing a harness which cinched me – believe me nothing looked good!”

Tom Cruise also gave Glen advice! Yes, Tom seems to be the go to star for advice in Hollywood. In a two and a half hour phone call Tom told Glen how “not to die” doing his own stunts. “He also gave me running lessons. He said, ‘You should film yourself running because you don’t look as cool as you think you do.’ He was so right!”

Glen’s film The Running Man has famously been made for the big screen before. Arnold Schwarzenegger starred in the hit 1987 version. “I didn’t want to tread on his legacy without speaking to him,” Glen tells Graham. “He was lovely and gave me his blessing.”

Who else is on the show tonight?

Joining Graham’s show tonight also is Jack Whitehall. Jack shares a hilarious story about a jewellery event he hosted in Monaco. He decided to crack a gag about the recent heist at the Louvre. Jack doesn’t speak French and therefore had no idea the previous speaker talked about how it was a deeply tragic event. “And on I come with a high viz vest with a load of prop jewellery. When I said, ‘Who wants Napoleon’s tiara’ it was tumbleweed.”

Jack also speaks about working with David Duchovny on the upcoming Prime Video thriller Malice. “He didn’t know who I was at the start but while we were filming in England he got obsessed with Catchphrase and was excited that my name was one of the answers.”

Ed Sheeran joins Graham Norton

Graham Norton’s final guest tonight is Ed Sheeran. The pop star talks about his new album before performing Camera live in the studio. Graham chats to Ed about his planned posthumous album, Eject.

Ed has previously spoken about the album, which will be released after he dies. He told Rolling Stone magazine earlier this year that his wife, Cherry, will be picking the tracks for it.

An interesting idea… we can’t wait to hear more about it tonight!
