Jessie J will be taking to the stage at this year’s Royal Variety Performance after the full line-up for the 2025 show was confirmed.

The show, which launched in 1912 and has been aired annually since 1960, sees some of the world’s best talent performing for the Royal Family.

And this year proves no exception, with Jessie set to wow the audience, along with Strictly Come Dancing star Johannes Radebe, Britain’s Got Talent winner Harry Moulding, and an operatic powerhouse Katherine Jenkins.

Jessie J confirmed for The Royal Variety Performance

Price Tag singer Jessie J will be making her second appearance at the Royal Variety Performance. She previously appeared in 2013, where she sang Thunder for King Charles and Queen Camilla.

However, the 37-year-old will now be performing a more personal track, I’ll Never Know Why, taken from her upcoming album, Don’t Tease Me With A Good Time, out in November.

Jessie previously spoke about how she penned the song following the tragic death of a good friend. She said on Instagram: “I lost a friend so suicide seven years ago and I don’t think I’ve ever fully recovered. I never recut it. It was the demo right after it happened. It’s so sad.”

It’s also a particularly moving return for Jessie; as earlier this year, she was diagnosed with breast cancer, and underwent a mastectomy. While results shown her cancer hadn’t spread, she is now getting reconstruction surgery.

In August, she told her 14 million followers there was still “lots of healing” to go.

Katherine Jenkins set to sing

As always, the Royal Variety Performance opens with a rendition of the national anthem, with opera singer Katherine Jenkins taking to the stage to belt out God Save The King.

The 45-year-old is no stranger to the long-running variety show. Katherine has previously appeared in 2005, where she sang alongside the Blue Man Group. In 2007, she performed Viva La Diva alongside Darcey Bussell on stage. In 2009, she performed again.

However, Katherine’s most memorable performance is her 2012 stint at the Royal Variety. As well as starring in a duet of Come What May with Placido Domingo, she also sang the national anthem to open the 100th-anniversary show.

Royal Variety 2025: Britain’s Got Talent winner Harry Moulding

The winner of Britain’s Got Talent automatically landed themselves a spot at the Royal Variety Performance since the show’s inception in 2007. Since then, we’ve seen acts such as Paul Potts, Diversity and Collabro all perform for senior royals.

This year, the show was won by magician Harry Moulding. The 24-year-old was KSI’s golden buzzer act and sailed straight through to the finals.

In his show-stopping performance in the finale earlier this year, Harry performed a card trick which then involved him jumping out a plane.

When reflecting on his win to the BBC, Harry said he “couldn’t think of anything crazier” than sky-diving. He added he “couldn’t wait” to perform for King Charles.

“I’d absolutely love the opportunity to create some magic with him,” he said.

Only time will tell as to what trick Harry pulls out of the bag on the night!

Johannes Radebe swaps Strictly for the Royal Variety Performance

Johannes Radebe has made a name for himself as one of Strictly Come Dancing’s best loved pros. However, he’s leaving his celeb partner Alex Kingston at home for this special display at the Royal Variety Performance.

The 38-year-old will be starring in a West End adaptation of Kinky Boots. Based on the 2005 film, where a shoe shop owner pairs up with a drag queen to save his business, Johannes will be playing the drag queen in question, Lola.

Kinky Boots also marks Johannes’s West End debut at the London Coliseum.

Describing rehearsals for the show, Radebe said: “The theatre community has welcomed me, and I am having the time of my life. It is the greatest honour and responsibility to bring this show to the world famous, iconic London Coliseum.

“I’ll be walking in the footsteps of theatre and entertainment giants who have performed on that stage, and I’ll be doing it in my own sequined pair of red leather kinky boots. I cannot wait! Thank you and see you next year.”

Other acts at the Royal Variety Performance

Elsewhere, Grammy award-winning Laufey, and British band Madness will also be on hand for musical entertainment.

Comedy stylings will be served up by Tom Davis and Mick Miller, as well as BBC impressionists, Dead Ringers.

Celebrity Traitors star Stephen Fry will star in a brief scene of The Importance of Being Earnest. Elswhere, Sir Bob Geldof, Midge Ure and special guests will introduce an incredible one-off performance from the Live Aid musical ‘Just For One Day’.

American’s Got Talent winner Adrian Stoica and his border collie, Hurricane, will make their British debut with their awe-inspiring trickery.

Viewers will get a sneak peek of Paddington the Musical, with music by Tom Fletcher.

And the ultimate show-stopping finale comes in the shape of Les Miserables, which will see 400 performers take to the stage including Michael Ball, Matt Lucas, Katy Secombe, Bradley Jaden and Killian Donnelly, along with the West End and Paris casts, plus amateur companies from all over the UK, to perform a medley celebrating the show’s 40th anniversary.

Who is hosting the Royal Variety Performance?

Jason Manford will be taking over the reins from Amanda Holden and Alan Carr for this year’s show. The 44-year-old has previously hosted the Royal Variety in 2020.

“The last time I did it was in 2020 – which, if you remember, was during the pandemic. I had a virtual audience… was like doing a gig in front of a Curry’s window!” he previously said.

“Nothing says showbiz quite like getting heckled by someone who’s accidentally left their mic on while eating crisps. So I’m very excited to see some actual real-life human faces in the audience this time.”

The Royal Variety Performance takes place on Wednesday November 19, 2025. The televised show will then air on ITV1 soon after. An exact date is yet to be confirmed, but last year’s Royal Variety Performance aired on ITV on Sunday December 15.

The show is held at the Royal Albert Hall in London.
