Fill your Traitors-shaped void with The Traitors Ireland: How to watch, who hosts it and what is the prize?
Picking up where Claudia and co left off…
The Traitors season 4 comes to an end on BBC One tonight (January 23), but fear not Faithfuls, The Traitors Ireland is here to save the day!
The first-ever Irish version of the show aired on RTÉ One last summer, and it was a storming success. But, until now, UK audiences were unable to watch (without a VPN, that is).
Now, as Claudia Winkleman wraps on another successful series, the BBC is dropping The Traitors Ireland. And it’s arriving just in time to fill that giant Traitor-shaped hole.

When does The Traitors Ireland start on BBC One?
The first two episodes of The Traitors Ireland will drop on iPlayer at midnight tonight. They will then air on BBC One at 12.10am and 1am – hours after The Traitors season 4 winner is crowned.
Traitors Ireland episode release schedule
The series features 12 episodes, just like the other versions of the show.
Fans won’t have to wait too long to watch episodes three and four. They will be on BBC Three from 9pm on Monday (January 26) and on BBC One from 10.40pm that same night. Details of when these episodes will land on iPlayer hasn’t yet been released.
We do know when you can watch episodes five and six, though. They will be on BBC Three the following Monday (February 2) from 9pm. They’ll then air on BBC One from 10.40pm. Details of when these episodes will land on iPlayer hasn’t yet been released.

Who hosts The Traitors Ireland?
Claudia Winkleman sits this one out. Instead, it’s hosted by Derry Girls star Siobhán McSweeney.
From the trailer, her outfits are just as iconic as Claudia’s, though. And Irish viewers reckoned she was “killing it” in her role as host when it debuted there last year.
Where is The Traitors Ireland filmed?
Unlike The Traitors and The Traitors US, The Traitors Ireland wasn’t filmed at Ardross Castle in Scotland. Instead, it was filmed at Slane Castle in Dublin.
It is located in the village of Slane, within the Boyne Valley of County Meath, Ireland. The castle has been the family seat of the Conyngham family since it was built in the late 18th century.
However, just like the contestants on The Traitors don’t get to live out their prince and princess fantasies by staying at Ardross Castle, neither do the cast of The Traitors Ireland.
It’s thought they stayed elsewhere in the village of Slane and not in the actual castle.

Who is in the cast of The Traitors Ireland?
24 contestants take part in The Traitors Ireland. Their ages range from 23 to 68. And their professions range from a firefighter and a teacher to a doctor, gamer and a retired prison officer.
Huge difference in prize money
While players on The Traitors play for a prize pot of up to £120,000, the cast of The Traitors Ireland can only win up to €50,000 – approximately £43,000.
