Rachel and Stephen are the only two Traitors in the game and appear to be seeing it through to the end together.
They have been given the opportunity to seduce another player into their fold twice but have turned it down on both occasions.
But although Rachel made a vow to never write Stephen’s name down, viewers are wondering if she is set to pull a savage U-turn.
The Traitors: Will Rachel turn against Stephen?
The latest episode of The Traitors ended on a big cliffhanger after Claudia Winkleman revealed a twist.
Claudia emerged during the dinner party and dropped a bombshell on everyone. Instead of murder, someone will be awarded with a Dagger.
The Dagger will give the recipient two votes at the next Round Table, which is game-changing. A player only needs to receive three votes at this late stage to be banished.
Later in the Turret, Claudia told Rachel and Stephen that any single player can receive the Dagger – including either of them.
But fans are fearing it could spell the end for Stephen.
Writing in the Traitors UK Facebook fan group, members were whipped into a frenzy about a brutal idea. They fear that Rachel will claim the Dagger and then vote for Stephen.
‘Oh please, no!’
Kicking off the theory, one viewer said: “I just had a nightmare. Rachel gave herself the two votes and voted for Stephen. Others backed her up and he’s out. Oh please, God, no.”
Another fan replied: “Oh no hope you are wrong I want Stephen to win now that Jessie has gone but from the start I thought Rachel would throw Stephen under the bus.”
A third chimed in: “Wouldn’t put it past her!”
And someone else wrote: “Depending on how much heat is on Stephen that would actually be the best way to get him out.
“Don’t forget at the begining of the series, Rachel had a mindset of saying her own game and would not hesitate to throw a traitor under the bus.
“This could be one of the biggest series shocks if this is the case My god this could cause havoc.”
Who will Rachel and Stephen pick?
Despite vowing never to write Stephen’s name down, Rachel is determined to win this year’s Traitors.
She recently hinted that she could end up turning on him. Jessie Stride had made it clear she thinks Stephen is a Traitor before the murdered her, so now all eyes are on him.
As they debated whether murdering Jessie would put him in the firing line, Rachel told Stephen: “They are completely hungry for blood.”
She added: “I’ll support you but this is a pivotal point in the game. It’s your game but I also need it to be the right decision for both of us.”
Rachel will have Stephen’s back… until she doesn’t!
