Eurovision 2026 is upon us and UK entry Look Mum No Computer is hoping to bring it home – but when is it?

The YouTuber, singer and eccentric inventor, whose real name is Sam Battle, will be making his mark with his song Eins, Zwei, Drei.

It is certainly… interesting. But it does scream Eurovision!

With lyrics including “I need something salty, with a slice of pepperoni” it would be a travesty if we get nul points.

So when is the Eurovision final? And has Look Mum No Computer even made it to the main show? Here’s what you need to know.

Look Mum No Computer is waving the flag for the UK at this year’s Eurovision.

The electro act is already through to the final as the UK is one of the contest’s pre-qualified Big Four. The other countries who have a pass are France, Germany and Italy. As the host country, Austria is also through.

Sam, who is based in Kent, found fame on YouTube after he combined his love of music with his passion for DIY electronics.

He says on his Look Mum No Computer website: “I’ve been a musician all my life, in various bands, ZIBRA, being the most recent one. Now I mainly build musical machines and make music with them!”

He adds: “I have no training in electronics, and about a year and a half of music at uni, so I wouldn’t trust anything I say because I don’t really know anything in an academic sort of sense, think of me more as a backyard engineer.”

Look No Computer’s Eurovision entry is Eins, Zwei, Drei. This is German for ‘one, two, three’. It was chosen to represent the UK through the BBC’s internal selection process.

Look No Computer says it represents the escape from “the soul-crushing boredom of the nine to five, into a world of dreams and endless possibilities”.

Eurovision semi-final 1 and 2

Eurovision holds two live semi-finals before the main Grand Final. Semi-final 1 took place in host country Austria on Tuesday evening. It was broadcast on the BBC, with Rylan Clark and Angela Scanlon hosting.

The best 10 countries were selected to perform in the Eurovision Grand Final. They are Belgium, Croatia, Finland, Greece, Israel, Lithuania, Moldova, Poland, Serbia and Sweden.

Semi final 2 airs tonight on BBC One (Thursday May 14, 2026), having bumped Race Across the World from the schedule.

Rylan and Angela will again host the live broadcast from Vienna at 8pm. This time, viewers will be able to vote.

Look Mum No Computer will also be making his debut. Although he is already through to the Eurovision final, he is still being given the chance to perform on stage.

Sara Cox is providing the BBC’s Radio coverage this year, while Tia Kofi is the broadcaster’s Eurovision digital presenter.

When is the Eurovision final and can I vote?

The Eurovision Song Contest 2026 Grand Final takes place on Saturday May 16, 2026. You can watch it on BBC One and BBC iPlayer from 8pm.

The final will air live from the Wiener Stadthalle arena in Vienna, Austria. It will be presented by Victoria Swarovski and Michael Ostrowski.

But as usual, Graham Norton will be the one providing all the commentary, wit and jokes for us here in the UK.

Viewers can vote for their favourite act on the night, however fans based in the UK can’t vote for Look Mum No Computer. Votes are cast via esc.vote or the Eurovision Song Contest App.

The results will be combined with the points awarded by the national juries. This will determine this year’s Eurovision Song Contest winner.

Get the drinks and snacks in, as it’s a long night. With a run time of almost four hours, the show won’t finish until 11.50pm.
