The Traitors has tonight reached a dramatic conclusion with this year’s winner – or should we say winners – being revealed.

Traitors Stephen Libby and Rachel Duffy triumphed over the Faithful in the highly tense final.

Despite moments of hesitation, the Traitors stuck to their guns and completely took it home.

It was dramatic, edge of your seat stuff – and quite remarkable that two Traitors have won the series!

The Traitors: What happened in the final

Tonight’s Traitors Final began with the result of last night’s tense cliffhanger. James Baker and Rachel had been left in a deadlock after the penultimate Round Table.

Claudia had brought out the chests of chance and their fate was placed in the lap of the Gods.

Within minutes of the final starting, Rachel and James opened their boxes and revealed what was inside. James’ box was empty, while Rachel’s contained the immunity shield.

This result meant James was banished from the game and Rachel joined fellow Traitor Stephen and Faithfuls Faraaz, Jade and Jack.

The next morning, the players were sent on their final Mission. They had to split into two teams and bag cash floating on pontoons. They then had to scale a huge dam wall to meet Claudia.

In a final twist, they were told they could win an extra £10,000 by running straight down the enormous wall they were stood on and to the water below. They had five minutes to do it on a harness – and then race to a helicopter!

Rachel was terrified and admitted she had a fear of heights. Yet incredibly, she channelled her inner Tom Cruise and went for it.

“I just saw Rachel sprint in front of me. I mean, she was insane!” Stephen said.

The Final Round Table

Once the mission was over, the plotting and scheming reached fever pitch.

And it appeared both Traitors Rachel and Stephen were prepared to go back on their word and double cross each other.

Stephen admitted: “Defending Rachel could actually spell the end of my game. If I don’t vote for her at the Round Table tonight, I think Jack and Jade will think it is really suspicious.”

Faraaz, meanwhile, planned to get out Jade first and then vote for Rachel to leave – winning the show with Jack. Rachel also wanted her and Stephen to get Jade out.

So what happened?

Jack voted for Rachel at the final Round Table, while Jade voted for Faraaz. But Jade received three votes from Rachel, Faraaz and Stephen – meaning she was banished.

Rachel and Stephen win in The End Game

Rachel, Stephen, Jack and Faraaz were left to take on The End Game.

Following the usual format, they were all given pouches of sand to either banish again or end the game.

All four players chose sand to banish again. Faraaz voted for Stephen, while Rachel wrote Faraaz’s name down. Jack chose Rachel and Stephen picked Faraaz.

This meant Faraaz was banished from the castle. And then there were three!

They went round again and all three picked to banish again.

Rachel voted to banish Jack from the castle, while he picked Rachel. But thankfully for Rachel, Stephen remained honest to his word and chose to banish Jack.

Which meant he and Rachel won the show!

How much did they win?

The prize pot claimed by Stephen and Rachel stood at an incredible £95,750. A whopping £19,000 of that was added in the final mission alone.

Split between them, this gives Stephen and Rachel winnings of £47,875 each.

Claudia told them: “Two Traitors, but totally Faithful to each other.”

Both Rachel and Stephen plan to spend their winnings on their family. Rachel in particular wants to treat her sick mum to a holiday with the grandkids.

Congratulations, guys!
