What is Wild Cherry on BBC One about?

The BBC’s Wild Cherry transports us to Richford Lake, where things “appear perfect” for super-mum Juliet and business mogul Lorna.

But when their teenage daughters Grace and Allegra are accused of a shocking scandal at their exclusive private school, we’re told “toxic secrets and lies ripple throughout the community”.

The synopsis describes it as “a coming-of-age drama for both mothers and daughters as they navigate privilege, power and social media”.

Let’s just say that the cliché ‘like mother like daughter’ rings loudly in a complex world, where danger and betrayal is never far from the surface – even in a s0-called perfect town.

How many episodes is it?

Wild Cherry is 6 episodes of an hour each.

They’ll air week by week on Saturdays, or be available to stream as a boxset.

When is the start date of BBC One’s Wild Cherry?

BBC One has now confirmed that Wild Cherry will start on Saturday, November 15, 2025 at 9pm. Episode 1 and 2 will air that first day.

It will be available to stream as a boxset from 6am on BBC iPlayer that day, too.

Where can I watch Mood? Is it any good?

Mood, also written and created by Nicôle Lecky, was first released in 2022 on BBC iPlayer.

It introduced “irrepressible Sasha”, a 25-year-old wannabe singer and rapper. Viewers followed her as she navigated the “alluring world of social media and the fine line between liberation and exploitation”.

It currently has a Rotten Tomatoes rating score of 100%. The Guardian’s Rebecca Nicholson called it a “bold, fresh drama” about a “complicated heroine being sucked into a dangerous life”.

The Telegraph called it a “clever cultural commentary with a killer soundtrack to boot”. They also applauded Nicôle Lecky for being on the “Fleabag route to fame”.

The six-part drama is still available to watch on BBC iPlayer here.

Wild Cherry starts on Saturday, November 15, 2025 at 9pm on BBC One, and lands as a boxset at 6am that same day.
