As Will leaves Coronation Street for Paris in ‘secret romance plot,’ spoilers confirm Megan’s ‘enormous downfall’ as police close in
So. no actual getaway then?
In tonight’s episode of Coronation Street (Monday, May 11), Megan and Will put their plan into action and set off for their new life abroad.
Will made out to his family that he was on his way to Scotland to stay with his mum, but he and Megan had secretly hatched up an entirely different secret romance plot.
But, spoilers for upcoming Corrie scenes confirm that Will’s romantic getaway doesn’t last long.

Megan and Will’s Paris plans in Coronation Street
Tonight, panic erupted at the Rovers when Ben and Eva discovered an open safe and that £2,000 had disappeared. The couple immediately started wondering who could have taken the cash and quickly became suspicious of Sean, especially after Ben had upset him the previous day.
Sean was horrified when he was questioned and couldn’t believe they thought he would steal from the pub after 20 years of loyal service. While Sean tried to defend himself, the real thief stayed under the radar.
Eva later confronted Will and asked if he knew anything about the missing money. Keen to avoid suspicion, Will denied everything and even emptied out his bag to prove he didn’t have the cash. But what his family didn’t realise was that he had already secretly handed the money to Megan so they could start a new life together in Paris.
Soon afterwards, Will packed his bags and said goodbye to his family, who all believed he was heading to Scotland. As Tim drove him to the station, Will quietly used his phone to book flights abroad, hoping to escape Weatherfield with Megan before anyone uncovered the truth.

Coronation Street spoilers confirm Will’s return as Megan’s questioned by police
Will’s return to Weatherfield looks set to bring Megan Walsh’s twisted scheme crashing down in Coronation Street spoilers as the truth finally starts catching up with her.
The drama kicks off when Tim receives a notification revealing that the Glasgow train has been cancelled. Instead of changing his plans, Will strangely insists they still go to the station, immediately making Tim suspicious that something isn’t right.
Elsewhere, Ollie notices the cancellation too and desperately tries to contact Will, while panic spreads through the Rovers after Ben realises Will’s passport is missing. Terrified that Will could still be planning to run away with Megan, Ben urges Steve to message Tim and make sure he keeps a close eye on him.
As the pressure builds, Tim opens up about his own past with Tricia and admits he now understands that what happened between them when he was 14 was abuse. Hoping his words will finally reach Will, Tim encourages him to see the truth about Megan’s manipulation.
In a huge turning point, Will decides he no longer wants to leave with Megan and later admits that reporting her was incredibly difficult because he once genuinely cared about her.
Meanwhile, Megan finds herself under growing scrutiny as Lisa questions her about Will’s claims of a sexual relationship and the missing £2,000 from the Rovers. Megan denies everything, but with suspicions mounting over her planned escape to France, it seems her enormous downfall could finally be beginning.
Frauds cast on ITV: female-driven heist thriller brings together Vigil and Doctor Who powerhouses
With six hour-long episodes to sink our teeth into, what's the storyline?
The broadcaster's synopsis reveals how con artists Bert and Sam rekindle their friendship in order to pull off the "art heist of the century".
"When Bert is released from prison on compassionate grounds, it's Sam she calls, and it's Sam she needs to help her carry out one last epic job," it reads.
"Bert and Sam embark on the most audacious of art thefts, gathering a talented team of outcasts to help them plan this audacious crime.
"Whilst the team must overcome numerous challenges before they can pull off the heist, it's the power struggle between Bert and Sam that threatens to derail their plans and destroy them both."
Who plays Bert?
Co-leading this one as the terminally ill Bert is Suranne Jones, who happens to be co-creator (alongside Anne-Marie O'Connor) and executive producer on Frauds too.
Arguably Coronation Street's finest export - she was Karen McDonald for four years up until 2004 - Jones has moulded herself into something of a TV powerhouse since departing the iconic cobbles of Weatherfield.
She headlined Happy Valley mastermind Sally Wainwright's miniseries Unforgiven in 2009, before nailing down a five-year job on police procedural Scott & Bailey.
Charlie Brooker's detective spoof A Touch of Cloth co-starring John Hannah came in 2012, followed closely by First World War medical drama The Crimson Field.
Between 2015 and 2017, TV watchers witnessed Jones' Gemma Foster gradually losing her grip on reality in psychological nail-biter Doctor Foster. For that towering acting display, the 47-year-old won the National Television Award for Best Drama Performance twice.
She would later announce herself across the pond via Gentleman Jack, which aired on HBO as well as BBC One. In the series, Jones portrayed 'the first modern lesbian' and famed diarist Anne Lister.
In the continuing police thriller Vigil, which will return next year with a 'frozen north' mystery, she appears as DCI Amy Silva opposite Rose Leslie's DSI Kirsten Longacre.
The star's most recent work includes Maryland, Netflix's Hostage, a guest judge spot of RuPaul's Drag Race UK, and Film Club.

Discussing her Frauds character, Jones described Bert as "an addiction for other people".
"People know they don't need her and she's bad for them but she's hard to give up," she added, but what shaped Bert's dynamic personality?
"When she was younger, her mother dragged her to Spain because she split with her father and then she bought this drag club with this woman, Miss Take.
"Bert was working at a very early age in a drag club, earning money and on the rob for Miss Take as well, stealing out of drunk people's pockets," Jones explained.
"Bert's mum met a guy who had a big credit card, and she liked the sound of that rather than the daughter that reminded her of her husband. So off she popped with the guy, Bert never saw her again and she was left with Miss Take.
"Miss Take never wanted to be a mother either and so these two oddbods were left with each other to forge this strange life together. It wasn't the best start to life."
Who plays Sam in Frauds?
The other half of this protagonistic duo is brought to life by Jodie Whittaker.
For the first seven years of her career, the future Doctor Who incumbent neatly drifted between big screen and small screen parts, starring alongside Peter O'Toole in comedy-drama Venus; Cillian Murphy and Brendan Gleeson in Perrier's Bounty, and John Boyega in cult alien invasion film Attack the Block.
Amidst those cinematic credits, the West Yorkshire native also featured in one of Black Mirror's standout episodes, 'The Entire History of You', where her character's affair is uncovered by her husband (played by Toby Kebbell) through memory-traversing technology.
Whittaker was Beth Latimer in all three series of Broadchurch, which proved to be the springboard for her and showrunner Chris Chibnall's creative partnership.
When Chibnall was brought onboard as the new boss of Doctor Who - replacing Steven Moffatt - he made franchise history by casting her as the first female to play the TARDIS-dwelling Time Lord.
They stayed on the classic sci-fi show together for five years in total, with the groundbreaking actress moving onto the second series of prison drama Time in 2023 and this year's Toxic Town on Netflix.

Asked about what initially attracted her to Frauds, Whittaker shared: "There are no female parts that I've read for a really long time that come anywhere near the dynamic of Bert and Sam.
"And particularly the fact that it crosses into a genre we don't often see on TV. There's the female-led genre, it's a play on a heist and it's not set in the UK. Everything felt really exciting," she continued.
"I was like, this is brilliant, it's exciting, it's really funny, it's really different. The characters are mental. Those two genius brains, Anne-Marie and Suranne, have come up with these people that you can love and hate... sometimes all in the same sentence. And their backstory is as rich and as relevant as the heist that you watch play out.
"Every moment of that heist is fuelled by what has happened in the past and that creates its own mystery. A lot of writing can create mystery without any payoff, but the great thing I think about Frauds is as much as you are gripped by this ride throughout six episodes, there is also so much depth and character work that means you are discovering things continually. So many things present themselves and make you understand why this relationship is as much a pair of enemies as friends."
Who plays Celine?
Royal Shakespeare Company alumnus Kate Fleetwood will appear in the new ITV programme as a supporting character named Celine.
Widely recognised as Liandrin Guirale in Prime Video fantasy The Wheel of Time, she's also dipped her toes in the YA world via Fate: The Winx Saga, which streamed for two seasons on Netflix before being cancelled in 2022.
Fleetwood played Princess Feodora in Jenna Coleman's historical drama Victoria too, as well as Nancy Birch in the frisky series Harlots.
Away from television, the 53-year-old can be spotted in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 1 (as Mary Cattermole), Philomena (Young Sister Hildegarde), and Star Wars: The Force Awakens (First Order Officer).
Who plays Jackie Diamond?
As for Jackie Diamond, it's none other than Elizabeth Berrington.
Making her screen debut in Mike Leigh's unforgettable tragicomedy Naked - in which Berrington appeared as Giselle opposite David Thewlis' Johnny Fletcher - she's since gone on to gain work in Oscar-nominated films such as Vera Drake, In Bruges, Mr. Turner, Spencer, and Fred Claus (just joking).
In the late 1990s, she had meaty roles in Jimmy McGovern's The Lakes for two series; My Wonderful Life, and Let Them Eat Cake.
Berrington was part of The Office cast too, playing Anne in the two-part Christmas special.
Her series regular credits range from Waterloo Road (remember Ruby Fry?) to Moving Wallpaper, to Stella, The Syndicate, The Nevers, Sandition, and Tracey Ullman's Show.
Who plays Craig?
Frauds sees Lee Boardman take on the character Craig.
Between 2005 and 2007, audiences saw him unleashed as Timon amongst the sprawling ensemble of Rome.
Drop Dead Gorgeous is another well-known title on his CV, as is Da Vinci's Demons, The Last Kingdom, Star Wars prequel series Andor, and Enola Holmes 2.
Earlier this year, Boardman starred alongside Daisy Ridley and Clive Owen in the action film Cleaner, which was touted as 'the new Die Hard'.
