She’s even got her mum on the scene for back-up, but things might not go to plan where she’s concerned. As Will faces his groomer in court, here’s everything we know about what’s to come. Megan’s mum arrives to support her (Credit: ITV) 1. Megan’s mum’s U-turn Megan’s mum Janine turns up next week and initially sides with the Driscolls. However, Maggie, Ben and Eva are taken aback when she arrives at the pub trying to make peace and offer her support, only to be quickly sent away. Later on, Megan is told by Janine that Will still hasn’t been found. Overcome with emotion, Megan breaks down and claims Will took advantage of her, adding that she could now be facing serious consequences. Ben’s put under pressure Desperate to help his son, Ben stands up in court but starts to crumble. Ben finds himself under intense pressure while giving evidence, as Adam puts him through a relentless line of questioning. Meanwhile, Megan portrays herself as the wronged party and even turns the spotlight onto Ben’s parenting, questioning it in front of the court. Sam doesn’t attend the trial (Credit: ITV) 3. Sam’s lied to Sam, still in the mental health unit, is left anxious as he fears Megan could be cleared and come after him for revenge. Nick and Toyah are reassured to hear Sam is well enough to leave hospital soon, but the situation shifts when he says he wants to attend Megan’s trial as a way of moving forward. Concerned about the effect it might have on him, Nick makes a secret decision to protect Sam from the full truth and tells him the court case went smoothly. However, the lie doesn’t hold for long. 4. Will faces Megan in person Emotions run high in court as a recorded statement from Will is played out, leaving his family visibly shaken. When he is later called to give evidence in person and locks eyes with Megan, his confidence quickly falters. As the tension builds, Will tells his family he needs the chance to set things straight and finally tell the whole truth. But once he’s back in the witness box and confronted by Megan again, it’s unclear whether he’ll be able to go through with it. Megan faces the music (Credit: ITV) 5. A decision is made The Driscoll family return home and break the news to Ollie that it’s now in the hands of the jury. Will struggles to stay calm as he awaits the verdict. But, will Megan be found guilty? Or, will she walk free?
