Tampering with Kevin’s car brakes, Carl then got a taste of his own medicine. The car came falling down on him. But, with Ronnie Bailey then taking a weak Carl on a little journey in his own vehicle, does this mean that Carl has been ‘ruled out’ as the body on the cobbles? Carl was seriously injured (Credit: ITV) Carl Webster’s car incident in Coronation Street Carl Webster’s farewell lap in Weatherfield didn’t just go off track – it crashed and burned in spectacular fashion after what looked like one last reckless spin at the garage. Earlier in the day, Carl had been busy revving up trouble and trying to neatly wrap up his loose ends. But things quickly shifted gears when he slid beneath Kevin’s car and started meddling with the brakes. What he didn’t clock was that he wasn’t alone. Someone was lurking nearby, keeping a close eye on his every move. Article Continues Below Read all the latest Spoilers As Carl tinkered away underneath the motor, a shadow crept into the scene. Then, in a heart-stopping twist, the car suddenly dropped without warning. With Carl still underneath, he was left well and truly stuck. He was crushed under the pressure in the worst possible way. It didn’t take long for the gravity of the situation to hit. In the following scene, Carl had been moved from the garage and was seen slumped in the back of a car, battered, barely coherent, and struggling to get his words out. Clearly in a dire state, he muttered that he needed a hospital, making it painfully obvious just how serious things had become. Behind the wheel was Ronnie Bailey, who didn’t soften his words. Delivering an icy line about second chances, he made it crystal clear he’s not in the habit of handing them out. But his role in the chaos raises eyebrows – was he the one pulling the strings at the garage, or did he simply arrive after the damage was done? Either way, Carl is now in critical condition, and it’s anyone’s guess whether he’ll make it out of this alive.Don't miss a single story! Does this ‘rule’ Carl out? (Credit: ITV) Carl Webster ‘ruled out’ of being flashforward murder victim Viewers will know that Betsy Swain found a body on the Street on Friday, April 23. And, spoiler photos showed her standing by some scaffolding as she made the discovery. Carl Webster is one of the five possible murder victims. But, it seems that tonight’s scenes ‘ruled him out’ of being the dead body. This is because, while Carl’s life is on the line, Ronnie Bailey was seen driving him away from the Street. With Carl asking to be taken for hospital, it appeared that Ronnie had other plans for his wife’s son. Spoilers confirm that Ronnie has it out with Carl in the middle of nowhere. This means that, unless Carl returns to the Street after and collapses next to the scaffolding, he won’t be at the location of the crime scene. And, if Ronnie did choose to bump off Carl and then bring his body back to the Street, it would be a very stupid move. Does this really ‘rule’ Carl out? Or, is there more to come?
