Beth Nixon ‘films final scenes’ as Megan Walsh in Coronation Street

The Sun has reported that Beth Nixon is due to film her final scenes on the cobbles as Megan Walsh, as the grooming storyline draws to a close.

The actress is set to begin filming her final scenes shortly, with Megan’s exit scenes airing this summer.

A source told the publication: “It’s not easy coming in as such a twisted character but she has done a brilliant job and really impressed bosses.

“Sadly, there’s no way back for her character otherwise, she would have had a long future in Weatherfield.

“Beth is gearing up to film her final scenes which will play out on screen later this year.”

This comes as Coronation Street producer Kate Brooks teased that Megan ‘won’t get away’ with what she’s done.

Megan Walsh’s comeuppance in Coronation Street

Currently on the cobbles, villain Megan Walsh is out on bail after being charged for grooming Will. Will reported his relationship with Megan to the police after a thought-provoking conversation with Tim Metcalfe.

Since Megan’s release ahead of her trial though, Will’s been really overwhelmed and fears that Megan will try to contact him again.

As the soap gears up to Megan’s trial, there’s a big decision for young Sam Blakeman to make too. He will likely be called as a witness and needs to decide whether he wants to attend court or not.

Megan’s ‘not going to get off scot-free,’ but how will she receive her comeuppance. Here’s hoping she goes to prison and gets a deserving punishment.
