Next week, a blaze will rip through the iconic Weatherfield landmark. And, it will create some serious panic over the fan favourite’s life. It’s a race to save Roy, and fans are demanding that he comes out of the chaos alive. Feeling a bit off-colour, Roy decides to call it a night early, skipping out on his bat watch meeting and heading home for some much-needed rest. Once there, he discovers there’s been a power cut, so he kindly tells Jodie to take the day off before retreating upstairs and settling into bed, hoping to sleep it off. In reality, he’s still inside – unconscious and completely unaware of the danger closing in as thick smoke rapidly fills the space around him. And, doesn’t kill him off. They can’t imagine the soap without the legend it it. One passionate fan commented on X: “[Bleep], if Roy isn’t able to walk Carla down the aisle, I will get to the cobbles myself and kill whoever set that fire then again, it might be a wedding miracle for him to get better just in time.” Another person added: “Roy can’t die, he’s the Street’s unofficial counsellor.” A third viewer shared: “Nope.
