• Sophie’s favourite EastEnders character is Kat Slater (she’s an icon!)
• Her favourite storyline is You Ain’t My Mother, closely followed by ‘Who Killed Lucy’ - the 30th anniversary episodes where Bobby was revealed as her killer were brilliant!
• She is still not over Ronnie and Roxy being killed off

Experience

Sophie has been a soap journalist for over 13 years, writing about all things Coronation Street, Emmerdale, EastEnders, Hollyoaks. She was previously the Deputy Soaps Editor at Digital Spy, where she hosted a soaps-specific podcast, and has also worked on national and print titles including TV Times and BT.Com. She is a self-acclaimed soaps encyclopaedia. One of her career highlights was taking part in a pub quiz in The Rovers with Kym Marsh on her team (sadly they didn’t win!). She has also done a treasure hunt around Albert Square.

Education

Sophie graduated from the University of Southampton with a BA in English Literature. She also has an MA in journalism from the University of Arts.
