As Walford prepared for its ill-fated quiz night, Albert Square was a hive of activity. With Gina still recovering from her injuries, Jasmine had just returned from the hospital. Meanwhile, Kojo attempted to make a break for it – only for Okie to stand in his way.

Elsewhere, Ross confided in Alfie, while a guilty Nigel shared a sad admission with Julie.

Jasmine returned to Walford

Jasmine was out of the hospital. Oscar watched from across the Square as she climbed out of a taxi (via the nearest bin, where she’d dumped the fruit basket from her mystery well-wisher). He joined her later in The Vic, where she continued to act mysterious and elusive.

Kojo made a break for it

As morning broke on the Square, Kojo slipped out of the flat. However, he was caught by Okie, who quickly hustled him back indoors. Kojo continued to try and leave, but Okie forced him to stay, as Harry’s ‘carer.’

Can Kojo break free and save Harry?

Ross confided in Alfie

A down-in-the dumps Ross confided in Alfie, sharing how neither Vicki nor Joel were opening up to his requests to talk. In The Vic, Harvey and Ian began putting together a plan to get Ross and Vicki talking to each other.

Nigel made amends

Nigel was still keen to make amends for the accident, and wanted to apologise to Gina personally. George wasn’t having any of it though, and refused.

Taking advantage of a moment alone, Julie tried to confide in George about how badly things were going – but he wasn’t particularly sympathetic, given everything he had on his plate. Warming up after a pep talk, George relented, agreeing to take Nigel’s card into the hospital.

Nigel, however, had disappeared again. He was at the hospital, where he’d taken it upon himself to apologise to Gina face-to-face. Thankfully she was more receptive than George, and the pair shared a tender moment as they talked over his India plans with Nigel.

Julie arrived in the hospital, relieved to find him safe and sound. The good mood didn’t last long though, and Nigel admitted to Julie – in front of Jean and Gina – that India was no longer on the cards. Probably for the best, given she couldn’t even get him to Scotland that one time.
