Zoe wasn’t the only one facing threats in Eastenders tonight – Kojo found himself under pressure as menacing Okie applied the pressure. Kojo was worried about Harry, but Okie was more concerned about the state of the business.

Can Kojo save himself and Harry?

Elsewhere, Phil returned to Walford, and was horrified to find what had gone on with Nigel in his absence. Meanwhile, Eve was feeling nervous as her mother arrived. Would she agree to provide a reference?

Here’s everything else that happened in EastEnders tonight.

Okie menaced terrified Kojo

Gina had been released from her (surprisingly lengthy) hospital stay. George, meanwhile, was more worried about Kojo.

And where was Kojo? Still at the flat, of course, and worried about his passed-out, drugged-up friend. Okie had a job for Kojo, and demanded he help bag up the drugs.

When Kojo continued to stress over his friend, Okie got really nasty – smashing up Kojo’s beloved toy taxi.

Meanwhile, at the café, George’s worries grew when Phil revealed that he hadn’t authorised time off for Harry or Kojo.

Back at the flat, Kojo took advantage of a distracted Okie to sidle up to his friend – promising that he’d find a way to help them escape.

Phil lashed out with Julie as he returned home

Nigel learned that he’d have to complete a medical assessment ahead of his court date. It was then that Phil arrived home from his trip to Portugal – and quickly twigged that something was amiss.

He soon hit the roof, and accused Julie of being responsible for the whole mess Nigel was in. Way to put Nigel off his breakfast trifle, Phil.

Stewing over what had happened, Phil continued to rage until he bumped into Jack at the café. Pointing out that Julie had done her best, and that Nigel’s confession was probably for the best, Jack revealed how Julie had tried to cover the accident up.

Clearly approving of her attempt to cover up a crime, Phil began to thaw on poor Julie. Returning home, he apologised, and the pair once again set aside their differences.

He told her of his plan to get Ritchie on the case, thoroughly confident that he’d get away with it on the grounds of diminished responsibility.

Eve’s mother arrived in Walford

At the Panesars, Eve was feeling nervous ahead of her mother’s visit. After packing Priya off to work at Stacey’s baps, Eve informed Suki that Norma didn’t know about the reference request yet.

As Norma acquainted herself with the Panesar home, Eve and Priya prepared to break the news about the adoption. Taking Norma out for breakfast, Eve finally managed to (very awkwardly) broach the subject.

Norma was dubious, but agreed to provide a reference.
