Meanwhile, Lauren found out Jay was selling the car lot, and Oscar got himself a new job.

Phil refused to go and see Nigel

As Julie and Lexi both arranged to go and see Nigel in the care home, Phil couldn’t face seeing his friend after his emotional visit there last week. With the reality of Nigel being in a home weighing heavily on Phil’s mind, he pretended he was too busy, claiming he had to go with Sam to her radiotherapy appointment instead. Meanwhile, Callum took Lexi to see Nigel, but he was confused about where he was.

Lauren asked Max to buy the car lot

After finding out Jay was selling the car lot, Lauren asked the bank for a loan. When they said no, she asked Max for the cash instead. But even though she tried to butter him up with cake and Dot’s best tea set, he was adamant that he didn’t want to own the same business twice.

Oscar landed himself a new job

After falling into the cafe, hungover after another night out, Oscar found himself inadvertently landing a new job as Ian’s PR manager for his council campaign. Ian thought someone young and persuasive would get him votes, and Oscar agreed after some persuading from Lauren. Could this be what he needs to take his mind off Jasmine?
