Cora made a shock return to EastEnders

Viewers were thrilled to see TV legend Ann Mitchell make her EastEnders comeback today, as Peter invited Cora to a family lunch.

After Lauren’s attack last week while she was doing a test drive with Mark Jr, she wasn’t quite herself today. Although she was thrilled to see her nan after all this time, Cora clocked early on that something was bothering Lauren.

After clashing with Max at the family lunch at Kathy’s house, Cora went back to Lauren and Peter’s to spend time with her great-grandchildren. She bonded with Jimmy and Louis and told Lauren that she was a brilliant mum. She also told her granddaughter that she was made of much stronger stuff than she gave herself credit for.

Lauren didn’t seem too sure, especially after having her confidence knocked after the attack. But Cora remained adamant that Lauren could do anything she put her mind to.

Lauren made a deal with the devil

After the heartfelt moment between the pair, Lauren was given a fresh perspective on things and decided to take Mark Jr up on his business offer from earlier in the day.

He had mentioned that he could provide luxury cars for her to sell at the car lot. But he made out that they were simply second-hand executive fleet cars from businesses.

But while viewers know that Mark is behind the attack that Lauren got caught up in last week, she is oblivious to his dodgy dealings.

Bouyed by her nan’s encouragement, Lauren agreed to sell the cars at work and was surprised when Mark said he could get the first one to her the next day.

However, what Cora doesn’t know is that she has inadvertently encouraged her granddaughter into a murky criminal world.

The drama continues tomorrow

Tomorrow’s EastEnders sees Lauren get off to a good start when she sells one of Mark’s cars. While Max questions the paperwork for the motors, Lauren assures him it is all above board.

Things are looking good for Lauren as she bonds with Priya at work, and the day goes well. But everything changes when Callum arrives.

He tells her that the police have found the classic car that was stolen in her attack last week, along with other luxury cars that have been stolen from the same area.

Realising something isn’t right, Lauren goes to confront Mark. But once she tracks him down, she isn’t prepared for what she finds.

What else happened on EastEnders tonight?

As well as Cora's iconic comeback, Linda faced a Mother's Day without Johnny, Jean arrived back in Walford, and Bea broke the law...

Linda had a lonely Mother's Day

Linda was feeling sorry for herself as she celebrated Mother's Day with Elaine, but without Johnny. With her son still not talking to her after she interfered with Callum and Tim, Linda took Elaine to The Vic for lunch, just the two of them. However, Bea managed to invite herself along, much to Elaine's horror.

Jean made peace with Zoe

Jean returned to Walford with a new outlook on life and made it her mission to make amends with Zoe. The pair had a heart-to-heart about being a mum and realised they weren't so different from one another after all. But will their truce last?

Bea impersonated Honey

Desperate for cash, Bea tried to apply for a credit card. But when her application was turned down by the bank, she applied in Honey's name instead. With Billy and the family all returning home tomorrow, Bea tried to clean the house for their arrival... but will they notice what she has been up to?
