Lauren definitely wasn’t expecting to see him, but then again she wasn’t even expecting a wedding until just moments before she said ‘I do.’ It’s fair to say that fans are more thrilled about Max’s return than some of the Walford residents. Here’s how long we can expect him to stick around for. He’s back! (Credit: BBC) Max Branning returns to the Square Lauren agreed to go ahead with Peter’s very spontaneous wedding plans tonight and rushed off to get changed into a lovely looking wedding dress. The wedding guests were all buzzing to see Lauren and Peter tie the knot in The Vic, but Lauren was clearly suffering with some pretty big nerves. Article continues below Read all the latest spoilers Stacey spotted Lauren trying to flee and managed to talk her round, with Stacey admitting that a seemingly ‘boring’ relationship is sometimes what’s best. Plucking up some courage, Lauren then walked into The Vic to the song ‘All About You’ by McFly and thanked her lucky stars that she didn’t decided to ‘fly’ away from the wedding after all. With the happy couple getting married, Lauren then prepared her guests for the most important part of the event (arguably) – the throw of the bouquet. However, nobody actually caught the thing (they had one job!) Instead, a mystery man entered the pub and scooped it up. Those were Max Branning’s hands. And, it turned out to be his ‘lucky day.’ EastEnders fans ecstatic by return of Max Branning It’s finally happened, Mr Max Branning has set foot onto the Square once again and EastEnders fans haven’t been more thrilled. After watching his return scene, excited viewers rushed to their socials to share their reaction. And, oh, it was good. One viewer was well and truly seated and shared: “Max Branning is finally officially back. It’s about time. Let’s be ‘avin ya.” Another added: “The way I screeched with excitement at seeing Max back. Oh we so needed him.” Another screamed: “MAX IS BACKKKKKKK.” Max is back where he belongs (Credit: BBC) Here’s how long Max Branning is staying in EastEnders for The BBC has confirmed that Max Branning is initially back for a brief stint. Looking at other ‘brief’ stints such as Chrissie Watts,’ this could be around a week or so. However, fans needn’t fear, Max is then returning once more later on in the year. And, when he does… he’ll be back permanently. He’s back for Lauren and Peter’s wedding at the moment, but what could draw him back into Walford for good? We’ll have to wait and see.
