And the drama is going to keep on coming as new show boss Ben Wadey gets his teeth stuck in and keeps on bringing the good stuff. In last week’s episodes, Jasmine revealed that she’d been the one who killed Anthony Trueman, although it’s a secret she’s managed to keep hidden so far. Also, Ravi turned to self-harm after accidentally attacking Nugget, and Max’s behaviour continued to rub his family the wrong way. The drama continues in spoilers for January 19 – 23, as Nugget returns home from hospital, Jasmine plans her escape, and Sam faces her fears. But what happens after that? Jasmine tries to keep her secret hidden in EastEnders spoilers So now we know – Jasmine killed Anthony on Christmas night. Over the next few weeks, Jasmine will go to increasingly desperate lengths to keep her secret hidden, lying to Kat about going to the police about Chrissie, while secretly trying to flee Walford. But when Max gets wind, he’s determined to try and stop her from leaving town with his son. Backed into a corner, Jasmine reveals a shocking claim about Max – one which he vehemently denies. The search for Zoe’s son continues in EastEnders spoilers Between Jasmine’s arrival in Walford, Chrissie’s revenge, and the Anthony murder rap, Zoe’s had a lot on her hands lately. This means that she’s had no time to continue the search for her long-lost son, and Jasmine’s twin brother. With Anthony’s death looking increasingly like self-defence (and a self-defence that she was entirely innocent of), it seems that Zoe’s fate might not be as grim as we’d first assumed. So long as Jasmine comes clean about what really happened, that is. But after that? The search for Zoe’s son is bound to continue eventually. But is she prepared for what she’ll find? Phil’s making plans for Nigel in EastEnders spoilers Following an emotional Christmas period for Nigel, Phil revealed his plan to take his friend to Portugal to live out his final days in peace. Julie’s still in the dark as to what Phil’s up to, having returned to Scotland so as to sell her home to fund Nigel’s care home. Sam was horrified when she learned what Phil has planned, but he threatened to cut her out of his life (for good this time) if she spilled the beans. But, with Sam’s lumpectomy operation approaching, her own time in Walford is coming to an end… and a shocking secret slips out. How will George and Denise react when they learn what Phil’s up to? And will he go through with his plan? Whatever the future holds for Nigel, there won’t be a dry eye in the house when the time comes for Nigel to bid farewell to Walford. It’s the year of Max Branning EastEnders made history with a whole episode dedicated to Max Branning’s future. Set on January 1, 2027, this explosive flashforward revealed that a tumultuous year is on the cards for Max – not least his impending wedding to a mystery woman. But who’s Max marrying? And what of the pregnant woman in his bed? Whose is the baby in brother Jack’s care? And who’s the gunman threatening Oscar and Lauren? So many questions! Libby returns in EastEnders spoilers Among the revelations of Max Branning’s flashforward episode was the news that Libby Fox will be returning to Albert Square! Denise’s booksmart daughter left Walford in 2010, and hasn’t been seen since. Viewers won’t have to wait much longer for her return though – as Max’s flashforward revealed that she’ll be back before the year is out! But what brings Libby back to Walford? Joel is expected to return for courtroom scenes this year (Credit: BBC) 6. Joel’s verdict revealed Last year, the police arrested toxic teenager Joel Marshall after his horrific attack on stepmum Vicki Fowler. This act tore apart Vicki and Ross, who are only just managing to get back on an even keel now. In the wake of the attack, Joel revealed that he’d be pleading not guilty to the attack, meaning that a court case is still to play out in the soap’s future. What consequences will Joel face for his vile actions? And will this somehow lead to more tension between Ross and Vicki, in turn causing her to fall back into Zack’s arms?
