The adored couple split over the summer over Suki’s scheme to raise granddaughter Avani’s unborn baby as her own. While Suki was desperate to make up for all the mistakes she’d made with her other kids, Eve wasn’t sold on the idea of having Avani’s baby. She’d never had a desire to be a mum and felt talked into it by her strong-willed wife. But Suki’s plan fell apart when Ravi and Priya learnt the truth and Eve accompanied Avani to have a secret abortion, before calling time on their marriage. After weeks apart, the couple are now reunited and Eve has changed her tune about having children. Suki was hesitant when Eve suggested them exploring adoption, but has since decided it’s worth a shot. They feel it would be a good way to work out of they’re a right fit for the process. But the peace of Number 41 is shattered when Ravi, Priya, Avani and Nugget return from their holiday. The family have previously expressed their disapproval of Suki having more children. So will they try and cause trouble by disrupting Eve and Suki’s important meeting? And the meeting with the adoption agency is a success. However, Eve is thrown into panic when she’s told she’ll need a reference from her mum to proceed. Fans will recall that Eve was estranged from her parents after the tragic death of her twin sister. The couple also refused to accept Eve after she came out as gay and it was implied her mum shared her dad’s homophobic views. Eve reunited with her mum last year after she was hospitalised when evil Nish arranged for her to be attacked. But has their relationship repaired sufficiently for Eve to ask for help?
