Both are reunited with their families – Max with Lauren and Oscar, Linda with Elaine and Johnny – but she’s not so happy to see her former lover back in town. Getting the shock of her life as she arrives back from her cruise on the same week as Max, Linda’s stunned by his sudden return. Still keeping his secret daughter… well, a secret, Linda is desperate to keep the truth about his daughter from Max. Will Max learn that he has a daughter with Linda? However, events take a surprising turn when Linda arrives back on Albert Square. After catching up with her mum, Linda is given food for thought when she shares an unexpected conversation with Sam in The Albert. It’s then that another familiar face arrives back on the scene… Max Branning, who’s shocked to learn that Oscar is trapped inside the blazing inferno. Max returns to see his family (Credit: BBC) Linda and Max come face-to-face again The next day, a nervous Max stands vigil over Oscar’s bedside with Lauren, Ian and Jasmine. After learning that Oscar will be fine, Max returns to Albert Square, determined to find out what’s going on between an uncharacteristically close Ian and Lauren. Linda is horrified when she sees him back in the neighbourhood. And, after five years apart, the pair agree to meet for a drink at The Albert, where they catch up and reminisce over old times.
