And the drama is going to keep on coming as new show boss Ben Wadey gets his teeth stuck in and keeps on bringing the good stuff. In this week’s episodes, events boiled over at the Trueman household when Anthony learned that Howie had blackmailed Lauren and Oscar over his dad’s attack. However, he came under fire when it was revealed that he was subject to a restraining order from his ex-wife. Meanwhile, Jean continued to spiral, as Harry’s descent into drugs continued. The drama continues in spoilers for December 8 – 12, as Sam returns to Walford, Teddy stands trial, and work on Nigel’s film continues. But what happens after that? Read on for our pick of the best upcoming spoilers for EastEnders. Article continues below Read all the latest spoilers Will Zoe live long enough to find out who’s been stalking her? (Credit: BBC) 1. Zoe in danger as the search for her son – and her stalker – continues Zoe Slater made her surprise return earlier this year, amid a cloud of mystery and lies. After months of speculation, the soap finally revealed what Zoe had been up to since leaving Walford in 2005. She’d given birth to twins in 2006, and given her surviving son up for adoption. Zoe’s launched a search for her son, although her recent behaviour hasn’t done her any favours. After admitting she lied about Dennis Rickman being the father, she then faked a series of defaced pictures, making it look as though she had a stalker. Since then, multiple suspects have emerged. Could it be Jean Slater, still bitter about Zoe ‘driving’ daughter Stacey out of Walford? Or a smitten Anthony Trueman, targeting Zoe in an attempt to make her more reliant? Or even Sam Mitchell, having recently returned to Walford? Zoe finds herself in even more danger over the Christmas period, when she finds herself trapped in a blazing house fire at Lauren and Peter’s. Oscar rushes inside to save her… putting himself in danger too. Will Zoe and Oscar survive their inferno terror? Jasmine returns to Walford after attacking Cindy (Credit: BBC) 2. What’s Jasmine hiding? Newcomer Jasmine Fisher quickly set the cat among the pigeons after arriving in Walford, bagging a job at The Albert, and entering a romantic relationship with Oscar Branning. However, it soon became very clear that Jasmine isn’t what she seems – and is working for someone rather dangerous. But who? Jasmine admitted to being from a family of criminals, leading some to speculate that she’s a member of the Ford clan, out to satisfy their vendetta against Cindy. Jackie Ford, if you recall, is the woman who Cindy informed on in prison, and was put into witness protection for. Jasmine only fuelled these rumours by attacking Cindy, leaving her and the Beales that the Fords have returned. Jasmine left soon after that, but she’ll return in December, only to face questioning about her criminal connections. Is Jasmine a Ford? Teddy faces the music (Credit: BBC) 3. The Mitchells in turmoil as Teddy stands trial in EastEnders spoilers The nu-Mitchells struggle in the wake of recent events, with Teddy behind bars, Harry in the grip of drug addiction, and Nicola pregnant with George’s child. With Teddy facing a long stretch in prison on murder charges, Nicola struggles to hold her family together. Teddy’s future on the soap will be revealed when his murder case goes to trial in December. Teddy revealed that he’s planning on pleading guilty – meaning that he faces at least fifteen years behind bars for the crime. Harry takes news of his dad’s guilty plea badly to say the least, and it’s not long before he overdoses again. Will Harry survive his latest brush with death? Between this and Barney’s growing bond with (biological) father Zack, Nicola barely has time to worry about her own geriatric (sorry Nicola, that’s the medical term) pregnancy. How will George react when he learns that Nicola is carrying his child? Max will return during a special New Year’s flashforward episode (Credit: BBC) 4. Max Branning makes EastEnders history in EastEnders spoilers Max Branning is set for his permanent return to EastEnders. Prolific love rat Max returned (again) for Lauren and Peter’s recent wedding, immediately putting himself at the centre of the drama. After going away for a little while, Max will be back in the Square on a permanent basis later this year. The soap has since revealed that Max will star in a special flashforward episode on New Year’s Day – set on the same date, one year’s later. In this mysterious flashforward, Max will navigate a precarious situation which has far-reaching consequences for himself and his entire family. What trouble has Max gotten into this time? Linda gets more than she bargained for when she returns to Walford (Credit: BBC) 5. Linda and Max are reunited Before his flashforward episode, Max returns to Walford, where he reunites with Oscar, Lauren and Jack. Feelings are mixed when it comes to Max’s return – none more so than old flame Linda, who’s also back in town. Still hiding the fact that she secretly bore his daughter, Linda is shocked when she sees Max on the streets of Walford again. Will she tell him the truth about little Annie? Nigel will reunite with Pat and Barry Evans at Christmas (Credit: BBC) 6. Nigel’s dementia decline continues in EastEnders spoilers As Nigel premieres his Christmas film at The Vic, emotions grow to a head, and his dementia symptoms intensify. During this time, Nigel’s mind becomes flooded with memories of the 1990s, where he begins to imagine conversation with old friends and neighbours. This includes late Walford icons Pat and Barry Evans, who will ‘return’ to the soap for one very special episode this Christmas. With many fearing that this Christmas may be Nigel’s last, could the return of Pat (who previously visited Peggy Mitchell on her deathbed) be a sad omen of things to come? Safe to say, there won’t be a dry eye in the house. Sam’s coming back to Walford (Credit: BBC) 7. Sam’s cancer scare Sam Mitchell returned to Walford in EastEnders this week, stepping out of the shadows from where she’d been secretly spying on Zoe. Whether she has anything to do with Zoe’s stalker torment remains unclear for now… but it seems that she has enough on her plate without kicking off a feud. Not least her health concerns, when she discovers a lump which she fears might be cancer. Jack and the family try to convince her to get help, but are dismayed when Sam skips out on the doctor’s appointment. Can Sam’s family convince her to get the help she needs?
