1. Ravi has a breakdown in EastEnders spoilers

Mark Jr. is still on a mission to find the gang’s rat, and until now, he has no idea Ravi has been hiding in plain sight. But is that all about to change?

Ravi knows Mark is looking for him, and the pressure is getting too much. Add in the fact that his son Nugget is also suffering from seizures after he brutally attacked him in error, and Ravi is struggling to cope.

He is set to find himself spiralling in the coming weeks. After warning Mark that something didn’t feel right ahead of a police sting, Mark has worked out that he is the rat. But as he searches for proof next week, the walls are closing in on Ravi. He takes Mark to Walford Common and goads him for a fight, before confirming he is the police informant.

What will Mark do now he knows?

2. Jasmine’s brother, Josh, arrives

So Jasmine killed Anthony on Christmas night, and she has been charged with his murder. However, there is evidence on her phone proving she acted in self-defence… the only problem is, Cindy has the phone.

After Cindy saw Jasmine’s twin brother, Josh, calling the phone, it had all gone a bit quiet. However, it has now been confirmed that Zoe Slater is in for a shock this month when her long-lost son and Jasmine’s twin brother, Josh (played by newcomer Joshua Vaughan) arrives in Walford.

Having followed his adopted mother, Sandra Goodwin (played by Dawn Steele) to Albert Square, Josh has no idea that his birth family are closer than he realises.

Sandra turns up seeking answers about Jasmine, unveiling new details from her past and insight into Sandra’s version of events. Meanwhile, and unbeknownst to Sandra, Josh has followed her to Walford looking for her, not knowing he is about to open a huge can of worms.

3.  Penny and Vinny’s future confirmed

Penny and Vinny have finally decided to have their baby. But while the couple are loved-up at the moment, fans have guessed there could be heartache on the way,

Viewers think that baby Ethan in the EastEnders New Year flashforward could be Penny’s son. But if that’s Penny’s child, why is Jack caring for him and not her? Fans are worried this could mean Penny either dies in childbirth or there is an accident on the cards… but only time will tell if their theory is correct.

5. It’s the year of Max Branning

EastEnders made history with a whole episode dedicated to Max Branning’s future. Set on January 1, 2027, this explosive flashforward revealed that a tumultuous year is on the cards for Max – not least his impending wedding to a mystery woman.

But who’s Max marrying? And what of the pregnant woman in his bed? Who’s the gunman threatening Oscar and Lauren? And does the baby in Jack’s care belong to Penny?

So many questions! Thankfully, EastEnders promises to answer them all before the year is out. One thing’s for sure – fans won’t want to miss a moment of it!
