Jo and Andy’s wedding plans hit snag after snag, while Rosemary’s funeral is memorable for all the wrong reason. And Ross’s new year gets off to a very embarrassing start! Nicola’s duped by Donald Nicola and David are making plans for their future bankrolled by Donald’s money. article continues below Read all the latest spoilers So they’re delighted when the hospital call to say that there has been a change in Donald’s condition. Assuming that the end is coming, Nicola heads off to the hospital. But they are stunned when they realise that far from being dead, Donald has woken from his coma! And there’s another shock in store when Donald claims to remember his son Miles, but says he has absolutely no idea who Nicola is! Back in the village, David wants to know what’s going on. He asks Nicola why she can’t just divorce her husband and take half of his fortune. Nicola explains that Donald suffered his brain haemorrhage on their wedding night and the marriage was never consummated. David is shocked when Nicola reveals that she may have to sleep with Donald to make the marriage official! It seems Donald is playing games with Nicola because when she gives him details of private nursing agencies. Donald asks why he should want anyone else but her to be by his side? Adoringly, he tells her as she’s described what seems to be a perfect marriage, he would like her to be the one by his side day and night. Nicola isn’t happy! Bad news for Diane in Classic Emmerdale Diane is worried that Jack is spending too much time with Mel talking about the house sale, especially as he has failed to mention anything about it to her. She’s concerned that Mel is hoping to speed up the sale of the cottage. Diane knows that once the cottage is sold, it means the end of her marriage. Jimmy and Gray wrestle on Rosemary’s grave (Credit: ITV/Shutterstock) Rosemary’s laid to rest – sort of! Jimmy goes to visit his dad’s grave and he’s horrified when he finds a freshly dug patch next to his dad’s. Realising that means Rosemary is going to buried there, he storms over to the Woolpack and shares the news with his brothers. As the bells ring in the new year, Matthew punches Grayson! He makes it clear that he will never let Rosemary be buried next to Tom. As the day of the funeral arrives, the Kings discover that it was in Tom’s will that he wanted to be buried next to Rosemary. Jimmy and Carl are resigned to it, but Matthew is still furious. Later that day, as the funeral procession reaches the graveyard, everyone’s horrified to see Matthew filling in the freshly dug grave. Gray loses it and the pair end up brawling in the mud. How dignified! When the police show up, Matthew is taken away but he swears that it’s not over. Ross gets his just desserts in Classic Emmerdale Meanwhile, Lexi and Chas grumble about the lack of available men in the village. They agree to stay single. But when Ross arrives at the pub, they both get flirty! And it’s not long before Ross is arranging dates with both women. With things getting complicated, Ross is soon running round the village, trying to keep everyone happy. But Carl sees what he’s up to. When Lexi later knocks back Carl to see Ross, he tells her the truth about Ross and Chas. With Lexi knowing everything, she gatecrashes Ross and Chas’s date at a restaurant. Chas apologises to Lexi for going out with Ross, but as the penny drops that Ross has been seeing both of them the women fight. Later, though, they make their peace and vow to get revenge on two-timing Ross. Plotting to get their own back, the women tell a surprised Ross that they overreacted and should make friends again. Lexi and Chas flirt outrageously with Ross then head upstairs together and invite him to join them. Thinking his luck is in, Ross follows. But he’s humiliated when they handcuff him to the bed, take a snap, then leave him tied up when they run off. And it gets even worse for Ross when Chas decorates the pub with pics of him in handcuffs! Ashley feels guilty Ashley feels bad when a loose tile falls from the church roof towards Alan. He manages to push Alan out of the way but as the slate shatters, it leaves a painful splinter in Alan’s foot. Ashley offers to drive Alan to hospital and he later guiltily confesses to Laurel that Greg offered to fix the roof and Ashley turned him down. But determined to go ahead, he ropes in some help as he secretly decorates the barn for his wedding. Meanwhile Jo has no idea what’s going on! As the wedding day dawns, Andy gets Victoria to take Jo to the hairdresser to keep her out of the way while they get the surprise wedding venue ready. But Jo finds out what is shocked when Sam lets slip that the wedding won’t be happening in the church. She’s not sure about it all, but she is touched when she is given Laurel’s altered wedding dress and Andy shows her the beautifully decorated barn. Things go wrong, though when Andy is unexpectedly called into court for his sentence and the wedding is off. Perdy’s worried in Classic Emmerdale With Perdy and Gray totally over, Perdy files for divorce. But Katie’s there to comfort a devastated Gray. Later, Katie has a go at Perdy for treating Gray so badly and hints that she’s not happy about carrying their baby now they have split up. Perdy is worried. The Dingles start scamming again Eli, Shadrach and Zak nick one of Donna’s police jackets for their latest scam to make some cash. They downgrade a speed limit sign to 50 mph then flash a car as it goes past. Eli puts on the jacket and collects a fine from the driver. But they have more trouble with their second victim, who insists Eli provides ID and the Dingles scarper! Later, Ross’s partner Shane is tasked with investigating the crime and makes a beeline for the Dingles. But they tell him they have an alibi. Jimmy is lovesick Jimmy is unsettled when a business contact mentions he saw Kelly working in a restaurant in Liverpool. And he’s still feeling out of sorts later when during a date with Carrie, she tells him she loves him. It’s super awkward as Jimmy just replies “cheers!”. With Jimmy still being odd, Carrie’s cool with him. And she’s upset when he’s a bit judgey about her having Lexi so young. She starts to think that they should leave the village. When she finds out Jimmy’s been looking up the Liverpool restaurant where Kelly was spotted, she tells him their relationship is over. But Carl gives Jimmy food for thought when he tells him that he’s wasting his time pining over Kelly. So the confused King tells Carrie he wants her back. Carrie can’t decide what to do, as she doesn’t want to be made to feel like she’s second best. The villagers get physical! Jonny launches a dancercise class in the village hall, but the older residents find it difficult to follow his routine, as it’s more aerobics than dancing. Viv listens to their complaints and decides to start her own dancing competition as a fundraiser. Later Jonny and Marlon want to start up a health club and Diane agrees to let them hold it in The Woolpack. But the class is another disaster, just like the dancercise session as all the oldies start to bicker!
