John plotted to frame Tracy in Emmerdale tonight

As the last person to speak to him alive, the police questioned John over Nate’s last movements. While covering his own back was John’s number one priority, he was also desperate to get Cain out of trouble.

Back in the village, Sam was dismayed to hear that Tracy had been spreading rumours about Cain. Sam confronted her in the cafe, where she remained firm in her position that Cain had killed Nate.

However, Cain soon hit back with an accusation of his own, suggesting that maybe it had been Tracy who done it. Back in the village, John simmered at the knowledge that Tracy had mentioned his name to the police.

As a vicious confrontation ensued, John denied ever telling Tracy that Nate had gone to Shetland. Feeling gaslit, she lashed out at Belle and those around her, making herself look even more guilty.

Later, Cain confided in John, revealing his upset and frustration at being blamed for Nate’s murder. Sympathetic John reassured Cain that the police would move on soon enough… cooking up a plan of his own.

Tracy has some tough questions to answer in Emmerdale spoilers

In Emmerdale spoilers for Wednesday (June 11), the police arrive on Tracy’s doorstep with a warrant. She tells them it’s pointless, but is proved wrong when they discover Nate’s phone in Frankie’s playhouse.

At the station, she’s shocked to hear that there’s no record of the removal man who took Nate’s things to Shetland either.

Can Tracy clear herself of Nate’s murder, or has John succeeded in stitching her up?

What else happened in Emmerdale tonight (Monday, June 9)

As Cain and Tracy made their spat public, Sarah continued with her IVF journey... all the while, keeping her recent cancer diagnosis a secret from newly-supportive gran Charity. Elsewhere, Billy and Dawn bickered over an expensive new gift for Clemmie, and Eric began to have second thoughts about Kerry. Here's everything else that happened in Emmerdale tonight.

Jacob urged Sarah to tell the truth

Their relationship back on track after her offer to pay for the IVF, Charity urged Sarah to take things slow. She was keen to accompany her to that day's hospital appointment, but Sarah was understandably hesitant - Charity doesn't know about her cancer diagnosis, after all. At the hospital, the doctor was the bearer of good news. She revealed that initial tests showed they could go ahead with harvesting her eggs. A stray comment about 'coping really well with everything recently' had Charity suspicious, but Sarah shut down any further questions. First course of injections complete, Sarah and Charity returned to the village. Her gran was still wondering about the doctor's cryptic comments, but Sarah remained firm that she'd only been referring to her Fanconi Anemia. As Charity sloped off to take a phone call, Sarah bumped into Jacob - telling him about the IVF appointment. He was disappointed to hear that she still hadn't told Charity about the cancer, and urged her to do so. Will Sarah heed Jacob's advice, and tell Charity about her cancer diagnosis?

Pollard had egg on his face

It was the day before Eric Pollard's big 8-0, and Rodney swung by the shop to celebrate. As the pair shared a tipple, Pollard revealed his new living situation with Kerry - who was out doing his shopping right now, actually. As Rodney voiced his concern over Kerry being responsible for Pollard's finances, a series of notifications pinged through on his phone. Suspecting her of fleecing him, it wasn't long before he was having second thoughts. And, as Tracy returned home with the shopping, he railed upon her - accusing her of spending his cash on herself. Fuming, she revealed what she'd actually bought with his money - orathapedic shoes and a voice-activated light for the house. Oops.

Billy and Dawn clashed over co-parenting

Billy found Dawn in the cafe, who tapped him up for a spot of babysitting (or parenting!) while she jetted off to Paris with Joe. Back at Home Farm, Dawn was in the process of packing her bags when Billy stopped by for the kids. He was taken aback to see she had bought Clemmie an expensive new phone, and annoyed not to have been consulted. He was convinced this and the holiday were Joe's attempts to 'buy' his family again, although she was quick to reassure him that she'd paid for it herself - with her new credit card. Is Billy right about Joe?
