Emmerdale tonight – it’s not looking good for Bear

After Robert found the new evidence on Monday night (April 13), tonight (Wednesday April 15) Bear was called in to see DS Walsh. Paddy was hopeful it meant something helpful had surfaced that would help Bear’s case. However it was quite the opposite.

It turned out the police have discovered bank statements in Bear’s name showing multiple payments from Ray over a period of months.

Bear admitted Ray had asked him to sign some papers and that he’d promised to always look after Bear. His solicitor advised Bear to say no comment from here on in, but Walsh immediately jumped on Bear’s words and accused him of being an accomplice not a victim.

Bear started to get angry, insisting he wasn’t involved. He then took the no comment route Zara had advised. Walsh continued to make the massive leap that Ray’s promise to look after him and the fact Bear signed the paperwork made him look guilty as hell.

The police have finally realised Ray killed Celia and now they are accusing Bear of taking the opportunity to kill Ray and take over the whole business.

Later in the visiting room, Bear lost his temper shouting about how he’d been taken advantage of. Paddy tried to calm his dad down, but Bear was dragged away by the prison guards shouting and screaming. Has he made things worse?

Robert spiralled

Elsewhere, Robert was clearly still struggling with his guilt, despite Aaron’s positivity. Robert still wanted to go to the police to hand himself in to ensure Moira’s freedom.

Aaron was furious and stormed out. At the pub he encountered Joe Tate and told him if Robert goes to the police, Aaron will make sure Joe goes down too. Or even worse, he’ll set a murderous Cain on him.

Joe then went to confront Robert and told him not to be so stupid. But Robert was firm he was going to the police unless Moira got out. Joe told him he would make his life hell unless Robert kept his name out of it.

Later, the pressure mounted as grateful Cain went to thank Robert. Uncomfortable with the praise, Robert continued to squirm.

Moira is free in Emmerdale

Cain then got a call from Moira who said the police have dropped all the charges.

“This nightmare is over” he told Robert and Aaron. Aaron insisted that was the news they needed and Robert needed to put all this behind him and move on.

But can he really do it? Or is he headed somewhere very dark indeed?
