We have some comedians amongst soap fans

Emmerdale fans have been busy on social media this week reacting to this week’s episode – and they’ve given us a fair few tweets of the week.

There have been some big moments on screen this week – from Ella’s vendetta against Chas to Joe Tate being revealed as Manpreet’s blackmailer. And, fans have definitely had their say about it all in the most hilarious way.

Here are our top ten Emmerdale tweets of the week that had us in stitches.

1. Manpreet’s money troubles

Manpreet took £10k from Joe this week to pay off her blackmailer, totally unaware that Joe was the one behind the threatening messages all along.

One fan shared: “So Manpreet who’s been a GP for years and probably earns 100k a year, doesn’t have £10k saved up…”

Manpreet’s got a well paying job but she’s was more than happy to let Joe help her… Where did all her money go?

2. Hospital dash

Chas went to hospital this week after collapsing on the floor in the Woolpack. And by this point, it seems as though the whole village spends most of their days in Hotten General.

One fan pointed out: “Might as well move the entire cast of Emmerdale to the hospital. They spend more time there than in the village.”

3. What about the other guy?

On the topic of Chas’ incident, while Chas suffered an overdose from painkillers, fans were more concerned about the other guy in the situation.

No, not a real person – the bar she hit her head off of.

“Oh poor Chas, I hope the bar is okay.”

4. Born into it

Sarah’s been busy working at the garage this week, using it as a place to hang out with new friend Kammy. But, one viewer has now joked that Dingles without any mechanical qualifications can bag themselves a job at the garage just by name alone.

“Dingles due to genetics are able to work in the garage without attending doing 3 year garage mechanic courses others have to do!”

5. Part-time vicar

Charles sat down with Manpreet in the church this week as he tried to give her some support following her dodgy work business…

He was rather shocked that Manpreet was attending church, but he’s not exactly got the best attendance for a working vicar himself.

An Emmerdale fan summed it up pretty well in one of their tweets this week: “Charles to Manpreet in his church: “It’s just… I’m not used to seeing you in here” The church congregation would probably say the same about you, Charles.”

6. Remember when?

Vic was really singing Chas’ praises and telling John all about her morals and how to get into her good books this week. But, if Vic’s words are anything to go by, Chas is quite the hypocrite.

“If Chas really valued consistency & stability as much as you reckon, Vic, how come she regularly searched for a bit of the other when she was with Padster?”

7. Secret meetup

Manpreet held a secret meeting at the Cricket Pavilion to look her blackmailer in the eye. But, considering most other villagers use the landmark as their own ‘secret meeting point,’ we’re not sure it’s quite so secret after all.

“Manpreet, you see – the Cricket Pavilion is the worst place to meet up with the blackmailers in secret – it’s full of runaway teens & people having an affair. You should have gone to the church – not even the vicar goes there!”

8. Not much of a mystery

It seems like most of the village is now a part of the ‘Anthony murder club.’ But, there’s one person who is a little late to the party… Jai.

He’s desperate to find out what happened to Anthony while lots of others are already in the know.

A fan on X tweeted: “Jai – the only person in the village who didn’t know about Grandad being murdered.”

9. We think we’ve seen this one before…

Soap tends to air similar stories every now and then and one person noticed that Cassie spiking Ken in Corrie is a tad similar to Chas’ overdose in Emmerdale.

“Maybe Cassie has poisoned Chas, oh sorry wrong soap, it’s just they all seem to have the same scripts.”

10. Not one to talk

Dawn’s adamant that her affair with Joe will remain a secret, despite all of the sneaking around in KIM’S HOUSE.

One viewer made us laugh and joked: “Dawn: “Are you worried about Kim, because I’ve told her it’s none of her business.” You’re living under Kim’s roof, whilst cheating on Billy. Be real right now.”
