Steph's trial begins

In Classic Emmerdale spoilers for episodes airing on ITV3 on Friday March 21, Steph’s trial begins but things don’t go her way, Edna and Lily share their feelings, and Tom’s tetchy with Rosemary.

Edna and Lily have a heart to heart

Tom plays peacemaker between estranged sisters Edna and Lily and he’s pleased when they sit down together for a heart to heart. Lily tells Edna she was devastated when Edna refused to return Peter – especially as she was unable to have any more children.

Edna considers telling Peter the truth about his childhood.

Steph’s confident as her trial begins

Elsewhere, Steph is in good spirits ahead of her trial after a meeting with her solicitor. She’s confident she’s going to get off, but Alan is more worried about the media attention. He’s not sure how Steph will cope with it all.

Classic Emmerdale: Marlon’s meat is dodgy!

Meanwhile, Jamie’s dodgy meat suppliers give him pork instead of veal which ruins his menu for the Gastronomic Society lunch. Marlon tries to serve his ‘veal’ stew made with pork anyway, but Val grows suspicious when they begin to get complaints.

Steph gets a shock in court

It’s the day of Steph’s trial and Alan’s worried when a journalist tells him the prosecution have something up their sleeve. Sure enough, though things start well for Steph, she’s shocked when the prosecution reveal they have a new witness.

Classic Emmerdale: Tom’s annoyed with Rosemary

Elsewhere, Rosemary’s irritated by the closeness between Tom and Edna, so she responds by teasing him about their relationship. But Tom’s not impressed and he gets angry with Rosemary, telling her to back off.

Donna decides to spend some of her savings on a night away in a hotel for her and Marlon. But just as they’re about to leave, Lilith turns up on the doorstep with her four kids…
