He just keeps losing out and her manipulation grows worse and worse, and no one (except Sarah) is on his side. But after his mistake with the recording today, some Emmerdale viewers are convinced they know how to help him – and it’s really quite simple. Jacob was at a loss when he found out Todd has complained about him (Credit: ITV) What happened between Jacob and Dr Todd in Emmerdale tonight Having finally confessed everything about the bullying and abuse to Sarah, Jacob was still feeling overwhelmed. But he decided it was time to tell the truth and lodge a formal complaint with HR. Sarah was still smarting over Vanessa’s remarks the previous day and went to tear a strip off her. But surprisingly Vanessa wasn’t in the mood for listening and continued to fight Dr Todd’s corner and place all the blame on Jacob. Sarah left with her tail between her legs, but still vowing to support her husband. article continues below Read all the latest spoilers At the hospital Jacob went to see Carol, who informed him that while she was pleased he wanted to make his complaint official there had been a development. Todd has now lodged a complaint against him. Coupled with that, she has presented a file full of evidence and voice recordings to back up her story. Jacob felt backed into a corner with no way out. So he went round to see Todd… Dr Todd caught Jacob recording her (Credit: ITV) Jacob records Dr Todd, but she gets the upper hand Pressing her for answers over her bullying, Jacob was surprised when she admitted the whole thing and came for him. She called him weak and pathetic and really overplayed her hand as she talked about enjoying bullying him and how she’s done it before. Jacob thought he had been smart though. He was recording her whole tirade on his phone. However, Todd was wise to him: “Secretly recording me?” she laughed as she grabbed his phone. “Oh when were you born Jacob, in the 90s?” Then she deleted the recording and told him to get out of her house. Jacob headed out into the village beside himself with anxiety and screamed out in hurt, anger and frustration. Everything is getting too much for vulnerable Jacob (Credit: ITV) Fans point out simple next step With no concrete evidence of his own, Jacob feels like he has lost. But viewers have advised him otherwise. “Jacob, just go to your deleted files,” they pointed out. “It’ll be in your deleted files!” another added. Someone else suggested he record again, but this time lock his phone so she can’t get into it. Will Jacob realise any of this, though? Charity is at Todd’s mercy (Credit: ITV) Todd turns her attentions to Charity in next week’s Emmerdale It seems Dr Todd isn’t done with Jacob and his family yet, despite gaining the upper hand. Next week, he decides to try and put the feud to bed and apologises to her. She accepts, but then it’s clear she’s not going to let it rest at all when she hints that she knows a secret that would make his life hell. When Charity gets wind of what Todd’s been saying she immediately knows what she’s referring to. Charity urges Jacob to steer well clear of Todd, but is secretly panicking. It’s made even worse when she sees Vanessa and Todd kissing. Todd indeed approaches Charity and tells her she has definitive proof Charity and Ross are baby Leyla’s parents. She wants money to keep her mouth shut. Dr Todd then demands £10,000 to keep quiet. Charity is flabbergasted. Can she raise the funds to pay her off? And will it even end there if she does?
