Robert and Aaron are desperately hunting for the culprit starting the fires on the farm in Emmerdale. But fans are convinced they’re looking in the wrong place.

They are convinced none of the suspects so far are really behind it and instead a ‘clue’ in Monday night’s episode (May 18) saw the answer staring us in the face.

Someone is starting fires in Emmerdale

Robert and Aaron have found themselves targeted since they took over Emmerdale Farm. There was a fire a few weeks ago that looked like it was started by Joe Tate as a warning to Robert over keeping his mouth shut.

But last week a mystery hooded figure set light to some hay bales. Aaron is convinced Joe is also behind this fire, but Robert isn’t so sure. He is wondering why Joe wouldn’t just evict him if he wanted revenge, why go to the trouble of setting fires. He’s got a point.

There is another fire later this week and Robert starts to become fearful over who is doing this and why. Ross offers to investigate – for a price of course. Soon Robert offers him triple the money if he can come good.

But then Aaron and Robert start to suspect Ross is actually the one starting the fires. They know he is up to something with Sam in the Emmerdale barns, and he has been seen with a lighter.

When they follow the pair of them, what will they discover?

Suspicion falls on Kammy

Soon though attention turns to Kammy. He is turning up to work late, his clothes are on inside out and he is clearly exhuasted. So what’s going on?

Next week, Kammy is being very snappy with Belle when she asks about his family. It makes her more than aware he is hiding something.

And then we find out what when we see him roll out a sleeping bag in one of the barns at the farm and it’s clear he is homeless.

The next day Matty reports someone looking shifty in one of the fields. When Robert and Aaron go to investigate they see Kammy with a petrol can and a lighter.

This doesn’t look good.

He insists he was going to torch his car, but angry Robert rounds on him for starting the fires at Emmerdale Farm. Aaron steps in to stop Robert going too far and Kammy flees.

However, after another fire Aaron has had enough and calls the police. Kammy is then carted away in a police car, but did he actually do it?

Fans convinced they know who is starting the fires in Emmerdale

According to viewers Kammy is absolutely not responsible. But they know who is after a clue last night.

When Aaron came to report another fire had been started at the farm to Moira and Cain, Kyle was sitting at the table doing his homework. As Moira commented it was a relief that this meant she wasn’t the target and they discussed who was behind it, Kyle looked up.

The camera focused on him for a smidge too long and his face was a smidge too worried for it to be coincidence he was in the shot at that time.

Kyle guilty?

So is Kyle starting the fires? Fans certainly seem to think so.

Writing on Emmerdale Insider’s Facebook page, one said: “Of course it is Kyle, it’s not hard! Couldn’t be anymore obvious if he was singing Prodigy!” in reference to the band’s famous song Firestarter.

Another added: “It’s written all over his face.” A third added: “I saw that look, Kyle could definitely be involved.”

A fourth suggested he wasn’t behind it, but he knows who is, and a fifth said: “I think Kyle as well and I think he will go after Joe now he’s heard his dad say he wants revenge.”

Others are convinced it’s Kev back for revenge on Robert, but it’s been pointed out that show boss Laura Shaw has assured us Kev’s return is about Lewis and he will leave Aaron and Robert alone.
