Emmerdale star Mike Parr is expecting his first child with his girlfriend Isabelle after announcing the news on social media.

Mike returned to the ITV soap last year as Ross Barton and has had a busy time back in the Dales.

And, it seems that Mike’s life away from the soap is also about to become rather busy too as he’s set to welcome a little one into the world with his partner. Exciting!

Taking to Instagram yesterday (Wednesday, May 14), actor Mike Parr shared a series of photos with his partner Isabelle Du Plessis on holiday together.

In the photos, Isabelle and Mike could be seen holding Isabelle’s baby bump on a sunny beach.

They then wrote in the sand: “MJP, IDP, Soon 2B3.”

The caption of the post then read: “In our Mum & Dad Era.”

Isabelle, who is the founder of a PR agency, and Mike were then congratulated by their followers.

One person wrote: “So pleased for you!! Beautiful photos.”

Another gushed: “Congratulations to you both xx”

A third person added: “Aaaaww love this, congratulations to you both.”

The Barton family gets bigger in Emmerdale

With Mike’s own family expanding in real-life, his character Ross’ family is also expanding on-screen.

This week, Ross finds out that he’s got a long lost half-brother called Lewis. And, of course, it’s fair to say that this news comes as a huge shock to him. As it would do to anyone.

This being said, Ross still decides to meet up with Lewis and to see what he’s all about.

But, Barton family history is heavy stuff and Ross isn’t ready to tell a stranger all of that – even if he is his brother!

But, as Ross decides to cut the reunion short, will he give Lewis another chance? We think so!
