Mack for the win

Mackenzie Boyd has been somewhat of an unpopular character in Emmerdale, but following his battle with John, fans have done a U-turn and are team Mack all the way.

John recently messed with the slurry pit, causing it to leak and poison the water supply. Young Harry was soon rushed to hospital, with everyone believing Mack to be responsible.

As Mack struggles with his guilt, viewers have seen a different side of him and are hoping for John Sugden to be exposed.

Mack blamed for slurry disaster

John and Mack got off on the wrong foot immediately and have continued to bicker since. Things came to a head at John and Aaron’s join stag do last week, with both men determined to get one over on each other.

Following the paintballing, the two men continued to get each other’s backs up and Mack told John it was only a matter of time before Aaron saw through him.

Later, as a drunken Aaron fell asleep while teasing John about Mack, John decided that Mack had to be stopped for good.

Having earlier witnessed Moira telling Mack to empty the slurry pit, John headed to the farm. He located the tank and pulled a lever, creating a huge leak.

The consequences were devastating as the leak contaminated the water supply. Victoria’s son Harry was then rushed to hospital after drinking some of the water.

John felt guilty, but has been happy to let Mack take the blame. Mack, meanwhile, is devastated that a child is in hospital due to what he believes to be his mistake and he is struggling to cope.
